My teaching method starts with very basics and gradually goes towards advance stage. I like to make class interactive and logistic. I prefer students ask questions rather me. I believe classes should be interactive and very basics so that students find it interesting.
I am doctorate in biotechnology and having research experience in drug designing, protein engineering and animal experiments. I have been teaching the given subjects from past two years in colleges. I believe in visionary and conceptual teaching for better future of students.
Doctorate Student (Ph.D.) 2009-2016 Ph.D. from Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTECH), Chandigarh, India.
Masters in Biotechnology (MSc) 2004-06 from Banasthali Vidayapath University, Rajasthan, India.
Doctorate Student (Ph.D.), Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTECH), Chandigarh, India, (2009-2016).
Project: An approach for improvement of Clot-Dissolving proteins for generation of efficient therapeutics
Designed modified-Streptokinase (SK) by covalent attachment of the different polymers of polyethylene glycol (PEG) to the SK-cysteine mutants. The mutants demonstrated substantial retention of biological
activity, specific activity and catalytic efficiency.
Utilized techniques in molecular biology, genetics, recombinant protein expression and purification, biochemistry, and fluorescence microscopy.
Presented work at International conferences including Frontier in Modern biology.
Research Assistant, Laboratory of Protein Science and Engineering (Dr. Girish Sahni), IMTECH, Chandigarh, India, (2008-2009).
Successful development of clot-specific streptokinase (Sahni et. al; 2007, United States Patent No. US 8093032 B2).
Involved strategic generation and subsequent biochemical, biophysical characterization of mutants of streptokinase and plasminogen.
Project Assistant, Laboratory of Protein Science and Engineering (Dr.
Kishore Raghuvansh), IMTECH, Chandigarh, India (2007-2008).
Designing, synthesis and characterization of self-assembling peptides containing β-turn like motifs.
Synthetic β-sheet breaker peptides were synthesized that bind to amyloid-β peptide and thus stabilize the normal conformation, and destabilize the-β sheet rich structure which leads to the formation of
Utilized silica column, RPHPLC, thin-layer chromatography and NMR, Congo-red birefringence, UV-spectrophotometer analysis.
