Student-centred teaching which encourages student curiosity and critical analysis is the foundational element of my teaching pedagogy. In the classroom, my placement experiences are often geared towards working to engage students in delving into the historical past in ways which work to nurture the changing landscape that is history. Although student learning and engagement is a priority, I also work to ensure that my students feel safe, supported and respected within their learning environment, be that a classroom or a home office.
I am currently a pre-service teacher, studying Masters in Teaching (Secondary) with specialisations in History and Religious Education, at Australian Catholic University. I completed my Bachelor of Arts (Honours) at Monash University with a double major in History and Religion and Theology. I then completed my History Honours degree in medieval history, with a focus on the impact of rhetoric on anti-heretical violence in twelfth and thirteenth century Southern France.
For VCE History lessons, the rate with be $30 an hour, due to the fact that those lessons will require more intense lesson planning and resource searching for the student outside of the standard hour.
