I am a strong believer of every individual's unique style when it comes to Artistic performance so when I teach I am protective of my students uniqueness. With that in mind, I prefer to start from teaching basic breathing techniques and vocal drills.
While I was teached in vocal, my teacher used the SLS (Speech Level Singing) method. It worked perfectly and better than any other method for me. So I do teach the same method to my students because I believe in it.
I believe each person has their own unique style of singing. I strongly believe in finding your own voice and singing from the heart as opposed to miniking the original artist. Strong breath control and vocal hygiene is a must in all of my classes as well as knowledge of the song you are singing. A song is a story and must be sung from the heart.
My teaching methodology is to nurture and grow potential. I focus on improving technique, giving fun tips and tricks, expanding your musicology and providing lots of practical methods as well. You'll learn by doing and through variety and experimentation - you'll enjoy a safe place to expand your voice and singing abilities.
My teaching method is designed to cater to each individual student. Flexibility is key and I understand the importance of moulding the lesson around the students creative desires and experience. As I am a cross-genre musician, I offer a wide range of study areas to students of all ages.
Sing with me will get you to your full potential in music. Teaching all genres in Voice.20 years experience. Trained at JVC University Australia and Th voice Institute London UK. Diploma of contemporary Music from JVC University Melbourne Australia. Diploma of Voice from The Voice Institute London UK.
I believe in helping my students find their own unique voice. In the lesson we will work on exercises to strengthen your voice and boost your confidence as a performer, and apply these exercises practically as we work through a variety of songs of your choosing (with guidance from me). We will sing along with a recording, a cappella and with guitar accompaniment.
Development of a healthy technical foundation including breath management skills, body awareness and style appropriate vocal techniques as well as the skills required to perform. A fun and relaxed environment for all ages and levels of experience to learn and achieve personal goals.
I teach the Estille method of voice which places a large focus on the mechanical workings of the vocal chords and lungs. I also teach my students pieces of technique from other vocal practices. I am a firm believer in teaching correct vocal technique from a very early age.
With a background in Speech Level Singing and Musical Theatre, I draw from both these genres and aim to teach students how to sing with strength and ease, finding confidence to do things with their voice they never thought possible.
My teaching method is face to face. I like to use paper, theory, and techniques that suit the individual. I am a very flexible person and want to make you feel comfortable in the teaching environment. I love singing at the beach, in open outdoor spaces and in professional recording studios.
I have a hands on approach. I don't believe you need to know the anatomy of the voice when beginning. I think it is important to just 'sing lots', to give the voice lots of use and to find ways to make it fun. To sing things we enjoy while finding ways to explore new ideas and challenges.
Depending on your goals and why you want to learn, I have different teaching methods for each student. For high school students or students of any age who are serious about their singing, I will teach them technique regarding breathing and different ways of using your voice properly without hurting or straining.
I tend to care to the students needs based off of what the students interests are. For example, some students may need a little bit of help with timing so I may use a clapping method whilst getting them to sing. I also go through different songs based off of the students preferences.
I am a member of a choir for about 3 years with adequate knowledge when it comes to singing and all that comes with it. Will give singing lessons that includes singing techniques and styles that fit the students and their abilities.
Struggling with your range or endurance vocally? Can't finish your songs or get them to sound as good as they do in your head? I've been there too. I'll come to you or you can come to me, we'll play, enjoy ourselves, come up with a plan and a strategy that suits us; and through mutual hard work, learning will ensue.
Doesn't matter your age or your experience, even if you find it hard singing outside your shower, or get shaky fingers each time you have to play piano in front of someone, after all the technique work that will perfect your skill and help you become more confident, at the end of the day I just want to show you the joy of music! I am happy to supply music for you, but 100% encourage you to pick...
Trained both musically and in theatrical forms, James Halloran offers piano and vocal lessons with an edge. Holding a bachelors degree in jazz singing, James understands that as a musician, it is just as important to captivate an audience with a performance as it is to have great technique.
I have been teaching singing and piano of all levels and ages over the past 8 years. I find great joy in sharing my enthusiasm and experience as a performer, composer, and educater by guiding and encouraging the musical education of others. I offer my students varied and interesting lessons, focusing on the goals of the individual and the joy of making music.
I teach a range of different people and will tailor the lessons to each individual's needs. I want my students to become confident in their abilities and this comes from not only being able to execute everything they need to, but understanding exactly why they are doing it that way. I am flexible in the way I work and am always open with communication.
My lessons are based on the learning goals of my students. Each person has a different approach to music, a different understanding of it, and something different to give to music. I work with students to both help them realise and unlock this.
Every student is different, and whether your studying theory or voice truth is it can be difficult, I have a fun approach to teaching theory, that normally has students in stitches, my main aim is that you don't see vocal activities or theory as a bore, I want to help you love your craft!
I have a logical and physics based approach for each chosen area so that the student can rationalise and understand by themselves and get to a point where new principles can be derived and self taught due to the understanding of the subject matter.
Basically I follow the syllabus and give additional training when needed to students. Always choose the easy method to teach my students.
My personal teaching methodology is a student centred approach. I believe each individual has different methods of learning best suited for them and I try to focus on whats the best for them instead of my own personal preferences. It is the student that comes first. I would love to tutor any ages I don't have a specific preference.
I have a wealth of hands on professional experience and real life practical coaching experience, the lessons are all individually tailored to what the student is out to achieve and the current and ongoing gaps in the student achieving that be it musically, technically or general life skills
I put vocal adequacy and capacity as a priority rather than music theory however, I believe that practicing and refining music theory knowledge aids one's true potential and adds to an individuals vocal and creative talent.
My teaching method is based on a holistic approach. I believe that the voice is a gift of nature and to be used correctly. I provide you with the skills, resources and structured lessons based on creating a better vocal style and a better performance for you to stand up on stage confident with enough emotion and creativity to perform with expression and correct vocal technique.
My lessons will contain segments of theory as well as practical for an all Round performer. They will include theory on how to read music, sing correctly with technique and perform the song convincingly. Easy and willing to travel for my students.
I am a firm believer that everyone is inherently musical, and I will strive to help you release any mental and energetic blocks that are holding you back from your full expression. My lessons are tailored to accommodate for your individual needs.
