I aim to teach English to students in a casual manner allowing them to feel comfortable in their ability and to learn at their own pace. I have held a TESOL Certificate IV for over ten years. Students are able to feel relaxed within my lessons, helping them to learn more.
My teaching method is to focus on each student's weaknesses and compile suitable teaching materials to deliver great results for each individual. I approach each skill by topic in order to help students deeply comprehend the materials. E.g: When teaching vocabulary, students would learn the word family of every word such as noun, adjective, and verb forms.
My sessions are based upon the internationally recognized CELTA model, designed to target individual needs in reading, speaking, and writing. Students will benefit from motivational yet relaxed sessions. Course material comes from academic as well as eclectic resources gained from years of diverse teaching experience.
My teaching methodology is Humanist - that is, I teach in the way that suits you best. We are all individual in the ways that we learn best. My job as your tutor is to understand your way and how we, together, can maximise your learning achievements.
I base my teaching on a students needs. I prefer a practical/ hands-on approach and want to make the lessons fun and realistic. I really understand how hard it is to understand our Australian accent, our "words" for different things including reading mail from Centrelink, Medicare etc.
In my classroom we work with fun. I am not here to tell you that you are wrong. We work together as a team and learn at a slow pace, so that everyone in the class is understanding and has a chance to speak up if they are struggling. I even like to use find-a-words with my students, this helps with the correct spelling and pronunciation of the words they are searching for.
My teaching method is to ask the student what their area of interest in learning is, as well as their goals from learning, base a lesson around this. If the student is young and in school, I like to work around their homework so as to keep them up with their curriculum and assist in developing their assiduousness towards academia.
I will approach students' learning with a simple approach.
My teaching method is based on combining classics and modern literature for a well-rounded view of literature. Grammar and style come from years of study, from Strunk and White to Plotnik. Heavily focused on proper research and immersive/diversified learning.
My lessons are based on the student's goals and aspirations to learn English, their interests and self-pace. I will accommodate any specific preferences to ensure that these goals are achieved as we work together to overcome challenges and learn new skills.
I base my lessons on the needs of the students. They need to learn what is going to help them achieve what they want to achieve. If a student needs to develop his/her speaking skills to get a job, then that's what we'll work on. It's all about giving students what they need to succeed and achieve their goals.
I evaluate students through verbal and written exams and identify areas needing improvement. My classes are then based on tasked assignments to reinforce learning. I share instant feedback to motivate students to continue learning. My plan of action will align with the student's needs and interests ensuring full engagement from the students at all times.
I base my classes on the day to day livelihood that enables foreign students to perfect their English skills to reduce language strain while communicating with others. My teaching methods include reading novels and watching movies with rich English vocabulary.
This is Jimmy who attempts to teach ESL students from Year 1-Year 12. Unlike Maths, English is a subject for which it requires long term accumulation. ESL has 4 major components ready to be taught including Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing.
I work hard at anything I do and I pride myself in the end results of any class I teach. I love to be given the chance to teach the English language as a communication tool for people whose first language is not English or who have recently migrated to Australia.
I can guarantee that my lessons will cater to your ability in addition to being engaging. I value reflective practice, am determined to provide the most suitable methodology to your needs and approach every lesson with a variety of strategies.
During my sessions I will try my very hardest to make my students feel as comfortable as possible. In the beginning it would be ideal to get to know who I am working with.
English is the language of science, of aviation, computers, diplomacy, and tourism. Knowing English will increase your chance of getting a good job in a multinational company within your home country or of finding work abroad. Learning has a strategy.
My method is a two-way collaboration. I assess your learning needs and grow from there. I’m effective, professional, friendly and approachable. I am not strict, but can guarantee that your English will improve effectively. I also like to make your learning experience with me fun and enjoyable.
I approach a topic by discussing the background. Once the background is discussed the students are allowed to go through the lesson and give their ideas and opinions. Then it's time for discussion where I conduct the lesson while discussions are held. Finally a marked assessment is done to see the understanding of the students.
I strive to make stress-free lessons. I devote myself to feeling students' needs and to delivering them my efficient and case-specific solutions with innovative and effective means and skills.
I'm a great tutor due to my easygoing and fun personality with great command of the English language. I've had online tutoring experience with Chinese students. I just love the English subject. So many ways to go about it; be it poetry, essay writing, grammar, letter composition, idioms, jargons, or even writing your own short stories, and so on...and on.
I have learnt from my past few experiences working with students that each individual has their own approach to learning. I then, developed custom curriculums to assist and work synergistically together with the student to increase their overall attention span and produce a better outcome with regards to their grades.
My teaching method is completely student centred. I am very flexible in my approach to student needs. My lessons are geared towards encouraging a deep understanding of the English language. I believe in recapping on student knowledge at the beginning of the lesson, introducing new concepts in an interesting way in the middle of the lesson, and summarising at the end of the lesson.
I have a very student-focused approach to learning where I facilitate the learning without giving the answers to the student. I like to help students learn through self-discovery as this builds stronger connections inside their brain and will help them to remember in future instances.
By choosing me as your tutor/group teacher, you will not be taught lessons in an order from a textbook; instead, I will create experiences according to your interests and needs. Every lesson I teach is different because it is tailored to the individual. I believe that outstanding teachers continue to learn and are not afraid to change the way they instruct.
For language learning, I use a combination of demonstration, recitation (that is, guiding student recitation), memorisation techniques that include some light and fun games to maximise engagement. The shape of the lessons would really depend on the student's level. I will try and cater for all learning styles whether that learning style is Kinesthetic, Expeditionary or Inquiry-Based learning.
My teaching method is inclusive and creative, using humor to teach grammar, for example. I try to make lessons both fun and relevant to a student's life. I am also an active learner of both French and German, currently working towards B1 in CEFR.
I like to work with students to expand on the work they are learning at school. When they bring their school work or unfinished assignments we work together to complete unfinished work. I like to ensure the student has a full understanding of any concepts they have been learning at school, for example poetry or report writing.
My lessons always start with where the student is at. What are their goals-both short term and long term. What do they want to achieve and how can we both best achieve it.
To be certain of the quality of our tutors and their teaching,
