My teaching method would be to make everyone feel included and comfortable in a swimming lesson as it can often be a new and stressful experience, especially for younger children. I know that everybody has different skills and experience so I think that tailoring a lesson to suit every child's individual skills is very important.
I base my classes not only in theory but having been a swimmer I understand what works and what does not. I believe personal classes are a better way to learn faster.
I base my classes on engagement. I believe a fruitful engagement between the student and the pupil is the most essential criteria for conducting a class. Bringing in different innovative ideas, where the student is freely enjoying himself/herself and along with it, is learning a new skill during that class.
Dependant on age and ability as to how the lessons are conducted. I teach mostly children 2.5 to 6yrs of age however can extend to older children and up to adults.
My method and philosophy depends greatly on the learning level on the student, however, I am optimistic and approach each student with the most positive ideas in mind. For young children- I aim to have maximum comfort with the water and potentially an interest in competent and competitive swim team for the future.
My teaching methodology is praise and reward and to be kind and encouraging to all my pupils
My teaching method is by creating fun classes. I want my student to find learning a language fun! My lessons are directed towards anyone who needs help in French or English no matter your age.
Personally, I have been swimming and surf life saving all my life therefore, I understand that the method of teaching is the key to a positive and progressive skill. The four main strokes are only one component of swimming as each person has their own individual needs and requirements to formulate their own style.
I believe that to be able to learn something you have to enjoy it. I have different approaches according to different levels and needs. But mainly I like to make everybody enjoys be in the pool, and be aware how to keep safe in the water environment.
I strongly believe in the individuality of each child and their learning ability.
My teaching method is always try to teach the kids the basic things of each stroke and the same time that are having fun in the pool. So I think that is the easiest way for them since there is no better motivation to swim and learn that when are doing something that you want to do.
The methodology that I use in my classes is based on the particular characteristics of the students. My classes always begin with a familiarization of the environment, that is, familiarization with the water. For many people this is a new environment, that's why taking our nerves out and being calm in the water it is going to be our first goal for biguinners swimmers.
My teaching method is staying calm, focused and safe as I would want my participants s to feel like they wont be stressed or unsafe. I would base my classes on a step by step layout of a warm up and then teaching the basics to intermediate. I approach topics by reassurance and confidence as safely as possible and to give the knowledge people need.
I teach as the kids need. I don't run by a book, the kids will learn best with play and trust. each child will have a step of something they need to work on. might be putting there face in water. might be getting into the water. kids that need the first step I love and in joy. I am still a teacher that can go passed what I love and go to the harder laps and push there fitness.
I build strong relationships with my students so that they feel connected, safe and wanting to learn. I believe in paying close attention to detail and pride myself in excellence so I set a good example for my students. I lead by example and will always get the best out of my students.
My teaching method is have fun at the same time you are learning. Start from the basics to keep improving to the next level. Without pushing yourself, you will learn and improve every time we meet.
No child is unteachable, lesson structure includes all strokes, floating, stroke development and kicking techniques, correct diving techniques. All levels range in the lesson duration and the older the more stroke technique.
I find that when I teach students they respond better to having fun and humor, so I take this into consideration. When anyone is having fun they become more invested in the activity and is more likely to remember how to do the activity. I make sure that the students understand how to do the strokes through verbal communication, visual demonstration and even safe hands-on correction.
My lesson structure is (for younger swimmers) • Kicking with a kickboard • Blowing bubbles with eyes in • Turning head to the side to breathe • Swimming arms with kickboard • Swimming arms without kickboard • Floating on back with ears in • Water safety questions and a game • (if requested: basic lifesaving for young children) • Kicking on back with kickboard • Backstroke a
I base my classes on getting to know the students strengths and weaknesses and improving all aspects of their abilities. This is achieved through altering my generalised swimming plans to suit the needs of the students, even within teaching groups.
it really depends on the students, I can be firm with a child if they are mucking around (as safety in the water is very important) but if a child is shy or scared I can be quite soft. I am also trained to be focused on technique more so than water safety but I can provide water safety in the pool.
my teaching method vary depending on the childs ability but my main focus is for student to feel safe and comfortable in the water, for them to be able to get themselves out of trouble and to develop their swimming skills
My lessons are fun and learning for all ages. I have set guidelines for all. I am strict but fair and like to see the students have fun at the end of the lesson to want to come back. My lessons consist of half hour lessons and students are praised when doing well in the lesson.
I like people in my class to have fun but also to work hard to achieve progress, I like to emphasis it is about doing the best each individual can do and I belive that’s how the best results are achieved
My teaching method is first to understand the capacity of the students. Then teach them the technique step by step according to the guidelines that I have learnt with my qualifications such as Swimming and Water Safety Teacher qualification,Swim Australia Teacher of Competitive Swimming qualification. My friendly teaching methods will allow them to develop their confidence in Water.
Typically I gain a feeling for the personalities and behaviours of the children I am looking out for and appeal to their emotions by instinct. I strive to make the environment as fun as possible for the children while giving constant encouragement. Of course, I maintain an attitude directed toward ensuring progress of the childrens' technique but also making sure the experience is positive.
My teaching methods pulled from my experience with children and practicums, I love to get to know the children, what they like and don't like, how they learn and what their interest is. By getting to know children at a personal level, I can adapt my teaching style to each child, helping each child grow. I love getting to know students. They inspire me and remind me why I am doing my degree.
To me, the most important part of swimming is the enjoyment of it. My lessons are customized to suit the needs, abilities and concerns of the individual. My main goal is to make you feel safe, comfortable and to enjoy your aquatic experience. Once we establish this feeling, we have also created an environment were learning new skills comes easily and naturally.
