I have 11 years experience tutoring students from High school, TAFE, 1st year university and adult bridging courses. I have achieved a double major degree in chemistry and biology, with a minor in mathematics. In order to get the best results from my students, I tailor my lessons to suit their needs.
My teaching method is an interactive one. I plan my work well in advanced and I explain to the student the different concepts and theories involved in each chapter. This is done through captivating visual, audio and reading materials which are adaptable for students with different memory types.
I handle the course topically, starting with a topical overview and through the following format; Topic outline in order of study Introduction Main part(s) of the lesson Questions and answers Summary of the lesson. My lessons and approaches are student centred so as to attain the expectation of the student and achieve maximum, intended value in every lesson.
I approach maths from a practical point of view and usually present topics using everyday life applications. Changing abstract concepts into tangible and practical ones helps! I offer my students time to practice what they learn right after lessons and I am ever ready to start all over again if they missed the concepts.
Co relate the concept with the students practical and day to day life so that the students can understand the concept correctly.
I approach my lessons by simplicity, practically possible and understandable examples. I believe in understanding first the children's interest and then find my ways through to cherish their academic subject study time and ultimately develop skills in these subjects.
I engage students through incorporating their strengths and interests. All ability levels are catered for, while providing modelling and immediate feed-back regarding progress. Homework activities can be provided upon request, for students to practise concepts covered during lessons.
I´m passionate about human connections and how we learn. My main areas of expertise are Dyslexia, Dysphasia and Dyscalculia. Nevertheless, my approach to learning disorders is that they are a consequence of context demands, so I work on the relationship between the learner and his/her context. I focus on strengths rather than weaknesses, in order to build confidence and self-esteem.
I believe that every student is unique and that, as teachers, our role is to allow them to reach their maximum potential, functioning above par.
My teaching methodology is discussion method. Where students should be able to express their views and opinions. I prefer practice as the strength.

I want to be accepting and supportive of Autistics to help them through the difficulties they face with understanding and DEEP empathy. I have lived it. We are all different but we have many things in common that help me relate to Autistics in a major way. I REALLY want to help Autistics become the awesome people I know the majority of us are capable of being.
I base my teaching practice on teaching to the students specific interests whilst ensuring links to the curriculum. If a student is interested in what they are learning they are more likely to connect and engage. I have had significant experience with students on the Austism Spectrum as well as other learning challenges. I have worked with over 10 students with ASD.

My approach to reaching is to make it as fun as possible! Start by breaking down each paragraph, sentence and word so you can focus on one thing at a time. To learn the rules of the language, use mneumonic devices- the sillier, the better! And remember, the English language is FULL of words that don't follow any rules at all.
