I prefer for my students to bring me the work they are struggling with so that I can explain, step through the problems with them and then provide practice problems for them to work through. I am a visual and active learner myself so my teaching style will definitely benefit those who are also visual and active learners themselves.
My teaching method includes the double Ds - Discussion and Demonstration. Every student is different, thus it is first important to understand what method of studying the student prefers the most, otherwise the lessons are going to feel bland for them.
I approach my tutoring sessions individually, one on one teaching is the key to focus and retaining information. During, I divide the time up between each individual subject. Once my student has completed set tasks, if understood, we move on - if not, we will revise and provide further examples and explanations.
