I follow constructivist learning theory. My learners learn by doing. I give them tasks and projects which they perform repeatedly while using English throughout the process, until they approach proficiency. I also dig in to the learners' areas of interest, and try to give them speaking, listening, reading and writing activities within those areas at least 40% of the time to maintain engagement.
My teaching method is more focussed on imparting the right kind of knowledge and helping the student to use it effectively whenever they use the language. The lesson structure will depend on the kind of help the student needs to improve.
I generally do learning by doing. I start with some rapport building, diagnosis of language macro skills, expectations and goal setting. My teaching structure is informed by both the Cambridge University Press Headway series content and my general American English training experience. I use CEF-R for assessment benchmarking.
My philosophy is to aim to make those I teach feel comfortable and confidant as they become more familiar with English as a second language. Students will learn ways to improve their skills in areas ranging everyday conversation to their own professional development.
~Dedicated, resourceful and goal-driven professional educator with a solid commitment to the social and academic growth and development of every child ~Expert knowledge of the subject area ~Active, practical and creative learning ~Attention to students interests ~Strong rapport with students ~Implementing creative art to solve the problems
I enjoy working with children and I like to make learning fun for them so that they are engaged at all times and can obtain the most from the session. My lesson structure covers all topics the student requires extra help on, while also helping them strengthen their grasp on concepts they already feel confident about.
My teaching approach is to involve the students as much as possible in their own learning. I want to encourage lots of interaction between learners and myself, and / or between two or more learners. I like to keep lessons moving with a variety of activities including the four key elements of language learning: listening, speaking, reading / viewing and writing.
Able to help students in all levels and IELTS test takers. Lesson structure is designed based on competency and needs of students, and are oriented towards openness and motivation in learning. Various sources for teaching and learning are used during study.
My teaching method is definitely performance based following audio visual techniques and materials. By creating 'situations' I usually start my speaking classes where the learners automatically involve themselves in speaking English spontaneously without any prior preparation at home.
My teaching method is both relational in nature and diverse in style. People come from a variety of backgrounds and circumstances and this must be taken into account when working with students of any age. So empathy is key. Moreover, as students have different learning modalities and multiple intelligences, an individualized educational approach would be necessary for effective teaching.
My lessons are usually focused on the particular subject / problem that the student needs to help with. I am able to help with home assessments, increasing vocabulary, improving grammar or just to help with conversation topics. during the first lessons, I can estimate what the student needs to improve.
Since I am a student myself, I am always prepared. It is extremely important that there is a sense of comfort between a tutor and the student and I aim towards that. I am a young adult myself and understand how studies can affect a student and have a philosophy that what i give you as an input must yield an output. There must be work put in from both sides.
I don't like to teach with conventional methods. I use my tried and tested distinct method and also try to incorporate whatever I learned during the CELTA training. I put the students first and try to give solutions to individual problems rather than providing generic solutions.
My teaching method is a hands on learning experience where I provide students with tools to help comprehend topics in an easier to understand way. I want students to feel independant while still having the assistance to build upon their own knowledge.
Freedom and humour are two of the most important things for me, both in teaching and in learning – these are the memories I find most humbling looking back on my own school experiences. The relationship between student and teacher is equally important and there needs to be space to allow for it to take place. I specialise in helping people take enjoyment in language.
My teaching method is based on the student feeling comfortable and relaxed. I don't put pressure on the student, and I am willing to teach in a way that will suit the individual person. I believe that having fun and experiencing new places whilst studying can be a productive and enjoyable way to learn.
As a teacher I am lighthearted but focused and motivated to help my students to be the best they can be. My sessions include general conversation about any topic you choose or I gladly guide the sessions. They also include writing down words and sounds we may like to focus on and revising those in future sessions. I also like to record my voice so students can refer back to these between sessions.
I based my classes according to the students levels and planning lesson and activities based on their preferred learning style and which can make them enjoying the lessons
English is the language of science, of aviation, computers, diplomacy, and tourism. Knowing English will increase your chance of getting a good job in a multinational company within your home country or of finding work abroad. Learning has a strategy.
My teaching method is based on practical one-on-one needs of each student and their curriculum requirements. My emphasis is on teaching everyday Australian business English, expressive language and conversational language. My lessons are relaxed and fun. I find students learn the most when they are relaxed and at ease.
My teaching methodology is based firstly on mutual respect and humor. This enhances the learning process and encourages the student to continue. I prefer not to take classes because each student is different and I like to focus on one student at time. The initial lesson involves teaching the 47 sounds that make up the English language. Not words. Sounds.
I am friendly, outgoing and efficient in my approach to working with students and teach them using various strategies and technological aids and aim the lesson to their level and ability while at the same time building confidence in them to use the language according to their needs.
I'm a great tutor due to my easygoing and fun personality with great command of the English language. I've had online tutoring experience with Chinese students. I just love the English subject. So many ways to go about it; be it poetry, essay writing, grammar, letter composition, idioms, jargons, or even writing your own short stories, and so on...and on.
I have learnt from my past few experiences working with students that each individual has their own approach to learning. I then, developed custom curriculums to assist and work synergistically together with the student to increase their overall attention span and produce a better outcome with regards to their grades.
I try to tap on the students' interest by allowing them to be creative as they express themselves. I engage students in conversations and allow them to gain confidence as they share their opinions and ideas. As for Mathematics, with the help of some colours, songs and other creative methods to remember formulae and multiplication/division.
I used the method of observing my children as the first and foremost crucial strategy of finding out the level and ability of the children/students that I am going to plan my learning and teaching programmes for. I ask questions and see if they can understand me or communicate in a collaborative manner as highlights their understanding level.
I like my lessons to be as fun and engaging as possible! I like to involve lots of student-focused tasks and activities (based off of their needs and interests) with plenty of opportunities to practice. I believe lessons should not be all about listening to the teacher speak.
I like to get my students talking and using English. I want to help them to make sentences so they know how to use expressions well. I like to help my students build confidence for everyday situations. I also like to help them to improve their English for academic or business purposes. If a student wants me to then I can also be meticulous in noticing and correcting mistakes.
I employ a free form of teaching wich involves real life situations. Just as in the real world, problems which arise are turned into an opportunity to develop. This form of discipline frees both teacher from the restrictions found in other methods. For example, you could use this very philosophy as an example...
Before classes, I like to have read the text that my student is studying. I read over their rubrics to understand the core outcomes of the module. With face-to-face teaching methods, I first explain concepts that the student does not understand. Then, I will go over any work I have previously marked from the student, and obtain more draft essays or other pieces of work that the student has.
