I am usually a slow learner and therefore I know what it feels like to have the class zoom ahead while i try to catch up. Therefore, I plan on keeping a steady speed and make sure the student understands the content before moving on and eventually covering all key concepts.
I am Mechanical Engineer and teaching since 2006. I am Graduate Mechanical engineer.
I ascertain what the curriculum requirements are. I then try to ascertain what the student already knows regarding the subject, so that I can build on existing knowledge and then am able to target areas which need attention.
Most of my teaching methods are practical based with a few lectures and test to measure what my students are capable of, after which I am able to adapt to the situation and impart my knowledge. You can have fun as well as gain knowledge at the same time whist I'm teaching making it a fun and fruitful experience for all around me.
My emphasis is always on making the student relaxed and focusing on boosting self-confidence. Students are often more capable than they realise - they rarely "know nothing" - which is what they tell me. I work one to one or with small groups. My teaching style is to lead students in discovery rather than lecturing.
My teaching method depends on individuals' needs. Generally, I prefer demonstration and reflective strategies where I firstly explain the importance of given task, show all the steps to perform the task and then let the students solve the similar problems where they can learn from their own mistakes with my guidance.
As your kid's tutor, I would assist in explaining concepts they may have difficulty understanding or simply improve their ability, knowledge or motivation for whatever topic is needed. I believe that for difficult subjects it is the job of the tutor to break the problem down into bite size steps for the student to grasp. This may not always happen at school, and requires a good private tutor.
My teaching method is to simply listen to my student/s and what they wish to achieve, whilst also seeking out their strengths and use these to encourage learning in their specific area of interest. I encourage questions and asking for assistance if need be.
I use a practical hands on approach to teaching software, guiding students through the basics but including the often neglected background features that add a little bit of fun. My teaching method is simple and and understandable by students. I gave real life examples to explain everything. I gave more time to weak students. After explaining lessons I would like to take small test through which I can analyse student's performance.

My teaching method is simple as i always try to make the basics strong for students so that no one gets left behind and than they follow through easily. Furthermore, i don't like to push things on students and instead give them chance to explore first which is why many students find me less strict than other tutors.
My teaching methodology depends on the topic being taught, I start from simple language and then gradually switch over to the technological terms which are being used in the lesson, which the child starts understanding eventually, I prefer teaching with a you tube video, or a short example of that lesson so that the child understands the concept well.

My teaching method varies according to the age group which i am teaching. e.g. for kids it will be more of multimedia base.
I have always tried to make computer science classes fun and use analogies related to each student's likes or areas of expertise so that they can remember everything they learn by associating new knowledge to something they are familiar with.
I would say " Learning By Practising" is the best approach and another teaching method for IT students is "Demonstration". As in computers until you don't show someone how to use a computer, No one can learn it efficiently. Therefore, demonstration plays an imperative role in my teaching.
