The culmination of my varied teaching experiences has allowed me to form my own methodology/approach to teaching. However technically my practice aligns with student centered learning. Teaching in situations where the students and I did not share a common language has meant I have developed unique ways for us to communicate knowledge and ideas, particularly drama and role play.
My methodology will vary from student to student as I focus on each individual's personal learning preferences, interests, weaknesses & strengths. I mostly connect course content with real life case studies or immersive activities to ensure the concepts are fully understood. I will prioritise effective learning by going along the student's pace, even if they prefer to take things slow.
My teaching method is based on using SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Resorce efficient, Time-restricted) goals, with a core focus on understanding curriculum requirements for A grade results. I aim to help students become independent learners, with a better ability to make the most of information provided by schools.
As a university student who is currently majoring Law with Honours, I aim to help and guide students who have trouble finding the motivation to study, memorize or even seek help from relevant teaching staff to clarify their doubts.
I believe that academic concepts are best learned when they are contextualised to suit individual needs and will aim to present knowledge in such a way that is suited to the student and their learning needs/preferences.
I feel teaching should be a two way communication, so I not only teach, but also ask questions and listen to students, to understand their thought process. Accordingly, I frame my teaching pattern based on students interests and knowledge.
At the risk of getting too zen-monk on you here: "In the beginner’s mind there are many possibilities and in the expert’s mind, there are few." [Shunryu Suzuki]. I encourage and uplift the beginners mind in all my students - thereby teaching them how to learn anything, adapt to changing circumstances and build resilience for a big, full life.
My teaching approach is flexible based on identified student needs, preferred learning style and designated curriculum outcomes. My teaching model is a combination of diagnostic assessment, direct teaching and modelling and individually-targeted practice with informative, actionable feedback for improvement.
My teaching method is based on sound pedagogical principles and I really enjoy using ICT in lessons to engage students. If a student doesn't understand a concept or skill first time around, it is not their fault, it is my fault.
Lessons are tailored based on the needs and interests of the student/client in question. I utilise a hybrid method for teaching, based on my consultant, coaching and social research background, as well as helping uni friends with their studies throughout my undergraduate degree.

My teaching method is based in the Montessori Pedagogy. Children leading while being supported and encouraged from a positive perspective. Listening and observing children is the best way to know them. Once you know them, you can help them. Let them be, let them try, let them mistake.
I am a facilitator of education which means I will work with individual strengths and motivators to generate the best, long term and transferable outcomes for students. I won't give you the answers or do it for you. My goal is to develop learners that are independent life long learners who want to learn.
I approach each case separately and base my method on the unique individual who I will be working with, tailor-making my method to how they learn and the areas they require assistance with. I have worked with students who struggle with mainstream learning approaches, as well as individuals who require more structure and time-managing.

My teaching methods are explaining the concept practically and straightforwardly so that students can relate to the topic both in Science and Maths. I focus more on the discussion method where I give an opportunity to the student to talk and explain.
I like to be adaptable according to what people respond to. However, I prefer to be mildly passive, and let the student work towards the goal, and provide help and support when needed. This involves getting to know the client, and listening to what they have to say, instead of ramming information down their throats.
I approach a lesson by first determining what the student already knows and then aligning that knowledge with the NSW syllabus and determining where the student is and where they need to get to. Prior to my first tutoring lesson I would prepare lessons based on the stage that the child should be at and after determining what they know choose which lesson to implement.
My ambition is to be a passionate and resourceful teacher committed to helping children develop the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to progress and become independent learners. I aim to achieve this by being an active, positive and diligent teacher who collaborates with work colleagues and is committed to lifelong learning.
My teaching method will be based on a case by case approach where it depends on the individual or class needs. If it is an individual than the classes would be on a 1 hour per day or per week depending on the individuals requirement. The venue can be arranged and to suit the individual, it can be at an allocated area or the individuals home or my home.
My teaching method is first getting to know the student and build a friendly relation where the student can trust me and be open to me like a friend so that I can give my best to help the student and help him perform in the class and can achieve their goals.
My teaching methods vary, depending on the students that I teach. However, I am a firm believer in student-centered learning as demonstrated in my teaching strategies. Generally, I commence a lesson by ascertaining students previous knowledge through questioning.

“The only truly educated person is the person who had learned how to learn” - Carl Rogers As an educator I have embraced this saying from the first day I decided to become a primary school teacher. Despite my tertiary qualifications I have found that my best tutors have always been my students and believe that they have as much to teach me as I do them when it comes to learning.
# I am friendly and tolerant # I care and love students as they should be # I am sincere to them # More importantly, I grow their passion in Learning by making them teach me
I believe before I focus on academic tutoring I need to know my student. I need to know how my student best learns and takes in new information. Once I know enough about my student and their strengths and weaknesses, I can begin to scaffold my student to help them come to new knowledge and skills by themselves.
