I prefer for my students to bring me the work they are struggling with so that I can explain, step through the problems with them and then provide practice problems for them to work through. I am a visual and active learner myself so my teaching style will definitely benefit those who are also visual and active learners themselves.
I am a super patient teacher, who is willing to teach in a way which best suits the individual. Any student who is wanting to improve their education and have fun, is a student I would love to tutor. Lessons can be as structured or as flexible as necessary to best benefit the student.
My teaching method is based on simplicity. I love to start from the very roots of the subject, as I have a strong belief that in order to understand any part of a topic, you must first completely understand the fundamentals.
I will check the syllabus and divide the syllabus in to parts, by checking the school portion on regular basis explaining subject to the student and taking test to no how much he/she is understandings and what are the topics to b covered to gain good grades in the main tests.
I believe exploring the world of Mathematics should be adventurous and fun. I encourage students to be critical and creative thinkers. Students should set clear goals and have high, but realistic, expectations. I celebrate uniqueness and promote lifelong-learning, discipline and accountability .
In a personal environment, I have found students to be much more honest about areas they do not understand or feel they are weaker on. I try to build on work in the classroom by focusing on areas that students feel they understand the least.
My teaching method would be to first asses a students strengths and what they do and don’t understand.
I have sources from being employed as a tutor in a previous company that I can utilise for materials to teach. I am willing to meet in person or through webcam, you will present me with what you would like to work on and we can go from there as to what materials you have and what materials I can get and how we can work together to achieve the best possible outcome.
I usually prefer one on one tutoring and start by working through homework and coursework that students are struggling with. From there we can explore other topics that are related or recommended prior learning to gain a better understanding. One of the most important things is being able to communicate you knowledge and understanding.
I breaks down the theory behind each concept and methodically iterate to the student each step required to solve the problem
I base my classes by topics. I approach hard topics first. Go through the theory, solve some example and give some practice questions from other resources I have collected from textbooks and websites. For aspiring medicine and engineering students, I have tips and tricks to excelling in subjects and willing to help with application process.
I believe that everyone has a potential to succeed regardless of where you came from. I also believe that hard work is a ticket to success. In another word, never give up, no matter how hard the task is, give it ago.
My tutorials are based on active learning to ensure that a student is engaged with the content that they are learning. This style of learning gives students the chance to consolidate previous knowledge and connect it to new information. This is achieved through the use of discussions, diagrams and practice exams.
I like to take time first to understand more of my student. To know about how slow, fast, or average learner he or she is. And then make my plan according to my analysis.
A typical lesson would first be looking at homework, making sure that we know the material being taught at school. We would try work through problems together and isolate any issues they may be having in accomplishing this task. If the homework is completed with ease we would discuss areas that are of difficulties to the child and do practice problems together.
I believe in meeting young people where they're at - not making things to complicated but bringing things down to a level that is understandable. I like to think of myself as a patient tutor, more interested in how young people develop their skills.
I like teaching students Visually, I like doing examples and asking students to give a try until they feel as though they are confident with the content.
I believe in the hands on approach, allowing the student to work through the problem and achieve an answer on their own.
I'm a Medical Laboratory Science student in JCU and we are taught intensive biology and chemistry in our course. Also Biology and Chemistry is my favorite subjects when I was in high school. So I will be teaching you how to understand Biology and Chemistry in an interactive way.
You will firstly tell me the concepts that you need discussing-- we'll go through them and discuss where you are having trouble. Then we'll do some exercises, because practice makes perfect (definitely). After couple of weeks, Ill give you some revision so you can work through it to get a comprehensive understanding of what you learn.
I believe that every student is different, and with some concepts being difficult to grasp, the approach to success requires flexibility. My philosophy in learning is ensuring that students understand the basics of the task at hand, which once mastered, can be followed by applying those basics to more complex problem solving.
My teaching method is structured around active learning. This is where I teach the content and then ask my students to recall the information in interesting and creative ways. I have found this method to be the most successful as it requires the student to break down the content being taught and then explain it in their own words.
I try to get the person that I’m teaching to figure out the answer on their own. I’ll ask questions to push them in the right direction, and only demonstrate and explain it clearly to them when they are completely lost.
I understand most problems as a picture as well as a mathematical process which allows me to explain a problem I'm a way which suits you.
I am currently studying my 2nd year of Medicine at JCU. During High School I studied Maths B and C, Chemistry and Physics. I am happy to help with homework, explaining concepts and practice problems. I can also assist with assignments or anything that you require.
I believe that being able to understand the bigger picture is key for learning. Students often get frustrated with small details before they even know what they are looking at. Breaking down topics in a simple step by step process is the best way to learn, and will have students gain more confidence quickly with their learning. I will also teach students the best way to read and handle questions.
I am a straight A student in Maths and enjoy the subject unlike many other people. This gives me a drive to succeed and see other's succeed. The kind of students I can teach are grade 9 or below and also primary school students.
I base my classes on the needs of the student. At first, I try to have the student come forward with areas that they need help with. Then I design an individually tailored program through the use of a wide range of resources including sample essays, past papers and worked example. In the lesson time itself, we will address the areas of most concern.
I am a very energetic, positive and encouraging person as I believe that everyone has the same amount of potential to reach a common goal and all they need at times is a little bit of encouragement along the way. I treat my tutees as individuals and this means that no two tutees will ever receive the same lesson plan.
I treat students as individuals- this means that no two lesson plans would ever be the same. I believe that every student has the same ability to achieve their goals and all they need is perhaps a little help from a tutor. I approach lessons with positivity and I encourage my tutees to face difficult subjects with enthusiasm instead of dread.
