My teaching methodology is very straight forward. I like to teach the basic core principles of each concept and allow the individual to form an opinion in light of given material. I like to teach my students critical thinking instead of spoon feeding them information.
Prior to being a lawyer, I was a youth worker. I am approachable, easy going and teach in a way that is specific to the clients needs. I teach young people using different techniques that assists them to grasp the complexities of the law, which can be quite overwhelming.
My teaching method is simple, let's relax. After the ice is broken I use the pedagogical method of I say, You say, We say. I find repetition is the most effective method of teaching.
My lessons are scholarly focused and i can plan lessons based on the students needs. I have experience with civil litigation, human rights law, law reform processes and practices, Cultural Legal Studies, Legal philosophy and can gear lessons to assist with a students curriculum.
I use as many real world practical examples as possible in my teaching. I'm very visual in my lessons and I believe that this is the most efficient way for me to give information, and others to absorb it. I am able to provide tutoring on all high school, and early university law subjects, as well as business topics.
I have an outgoing, kind and patient personality which I aim to show throughout my lessons. I try to make my lessons as fun as possible because I believe that learning should be an enjoyable experience. I base my lesson structures on the individual needs of each student, paying attention to the areas they excel at and the areas they need the most improvement in.
My lessons will be based on what the student is needing assistance with. I will make lessons fun and interactive and work closely on areas that need improving through activities designed to make content and structures stick in the mind.
I am to teach through making the content enjoyable. History is often taught as a dry list of dates and names, without any focus on the characters or the drama behind the events, I like to focus on what is happening behind the scenes and under the surface of the main story.
My teaching method is to guide students to help themselves by assessing their own work, but of course still provide guidance to help them with their coursework. Structure of the lesson will depend on the student and what their goals are.
My teaching method is going back to the basics and setting a strong understanding of the required foundation knowledge to better assist understanding. I am kind and understanding, but will not write students assessment. I will go above and beyond for students.
I recognise that different students learn in different ways and everyone has their preferred learning style. Therefore I hope to teach according to individual styles and maximise your success. On a general basis, my main methodology for teaching would be to go over the key concepts in each class as well as go over the accepted format for the subject/SACE.
I try to go over the content first, and make sure the student understands, then use practical approaches or exercises. I make sure that what you are studying is practical and not just for the sake of learning it. I will adopt the teaching method that is best suited to you.
My teaching methodology involves teaching content, going over practise sacs (in which I will correct and give feedback on), doing practise exams etc.
As I have progressed through the year groups of mathematics and have learned the syllabus content, I have a thorough understanding of the requirements and concepts of the course. Lessons can cover any concept you are having difficulty understanding and calculating, as well as any further clarification required on a topic.
There's no point contacting me at the last minute for assignments due or wanting me to write an essay for you. I believe the best method is ongoing study methods and allowing plenty of time to prepare for exams and assignments. I can help you understand your assignment questions and what is being asked as common reasons for failure is not understanding the questions.
My teaching method includes getting to know the students and their skills in the language. Then I focus on strengthening their foundations of the language, which eventually develops confidence of the person to deal with the language. Apart of teaching also helps the student to develop their personality.
My teaching method varies depending on the subject and age group. I begin with standard approaches (Q&A), homework help, or advanced curriculum work to get ahead. First lessons are based on what would like to be learnt, and reflection on how content is best absorbed by the student whether it be oral, written, or game-play.
Individual assessment for each student and scaffolding to build from present skill set. Incorporation of individual skills and knowledge and learning experience into curriculum to foster inclusivity and create relevant learning environment. Encouragement and rewards for small progressions toward larger learning outcomes.
I am an active student who believes in systematic studying to achieve ultimate results. This involves not just merely reading and understanding a topic, but self-testing and focusing on short answer questions that have been proven to enable better retention of information.
I am currently in my second year of my law degree at University of Newcastle, and looking to help students reach their full potential. I have tutored primary school children and high school children in the past, and am proficient in the areas of English, general maths, legal studies and humanities at a high school level, and all subjects at a primary level.
Before classes, I like to have read the text that my student is studying. I read over their rubrics to understand the core outcomes of the module. With face-to-face teaching methods, I first explain concepts that the student does not understand. Then, I will go over any work I have previously marked from the student, and obtain more draft essays or other pieces of work that the student has.
I am friendly and have a relaxed approach, encouraging my students in their abilities and building confidence to help them achieve their potential in all areas. I enjoy creating interesting activities that are engaging and fun! I believe that learning is easier when the process is enjoyable and focuses on what students are interested in developing skills.
My teaching model is based on differentiation through diagnostic assessments and planned development through scaffolding of learning experiences. I work through an understanding of the student's needs and through developing a positive and connected relationship. I aim to empower each of my students in order that they become confident in their journey to becoming successful in their area of need.
I approach lessons according to the individual requirements of the student. I encourage a positive and relaxed attitude towards study. I also like to focus on building a general skill set in order to equip students for post school study or work.
I understand that each student is different and I create a tutoring approach that suits their personality the best! It is important that my students are constantly making progress but still enjoy the learning process as I believe that a love of learning helps achieve great academic results
Face-to-face teaching with students going through their subject guides ensuring they understand all concepts of the subject/course. Working through textbook and/or material given by main teacher/lecturer. Working through the concepts that the student is struggling with as well as the relevant questions to apply the theory and ideas that arise during study.
The tutoring sessions I provide are focused on essay and narrative writing, exam revision and assistance with editing written pieces. A typical lesson may involve analysing a past essay exam question, developing a thesis and designing an essay plan. This can be followed by identifying key language techniques in a text and discussion of their effects.
Although teaching students content is important, I believe it is even more important to teach them the problem solving skills and studying techniques they will need to succeed throughout their education. As such, my lessons focus on working through student's problems alongside them in order to build up their confidence in their own abilities.
I believe that although academic success is important and a core aspect to judging a students personal capability, the most relevant indicator of success is how much they enjoy the work they are participating in. Without enjoyment, their is no engagement, and without engagement there will be no success.
My lessons are geared towards all students as I am to encourage engagement in learning through adaptability and tailoring to the needs of a student. My tutoring structure would take into account what the student is having trouble with, what any teachers comments have highlighted and what I believe could be improved.
