I divide my session into 3 categories :) - Writing part ( learning new words and grammar ) - Speaking part ( apply the new words and grammar by speaking ) - Listening part ( listen to words from K-pop songs or scenes from K-drama !!!)
The class can be individualized for students. No matter you are interested in the culture, k-pop, k-drama or all of them, I've got different resources for all of them and we can structure the class together to fit your need as much as possible.
I normally assess each student first as to where they stand with the use of the Language and approach the teaching in practical ways like teaching letters first and then common words they normally encounter
My teaching method is I base my class on letter and word. And if you study many words, I will choose conversation topic every time. So I will make a lot of coversation times.
First, let's start with alphabets. We will learn ㄱ to ㅎ, ㅏ to l and how to pronounce it. Then let's read K-pop songs in Korean. I will teach the perfect pronunciation. After then, let's check the story of the song.
Reading skills : Newspapers & books Vacablury skills : drama & songs Listening: drama & radio Additionally we can do new words on the web
Learning a new language should fun and enjoyable for students. Therefore, I envision instructing a class that is driven by the interests of my students. In order to create an interest- oriented class, I will be utilizing diverse forms of teaching methods such as flash cards, pop quizzes, music, videos, work sheets, activities, textbooks, etc.
Simply, easily, giving example.
It is different and depends on your levels. There are so confusing words in Korean. So basically i can teach you that pattern or phrase. And we will have time that we can talk with one theme. And sometime we just enjoy Korean culture.
I'm using my own teaching materials. This is my brief class schedule. - Test/Conversation in Korean (10-15 mins) - Class (45-50 mins) - Extra Class (10-15 mins) : Idioms, Slangs, Cultural background learning - Review (5-10 mins) * Writing assignment will be given every class. Topic can be various depends on their level and interests.
Learning a language is not easy and needs both time and patience. However, there is a fun and better way to learn effectively. I'm a visual teacher using popular and polite expressions and words. Don't get stressed anymore about your stagnant Korean and try with me right now. You will find yourself smiling and satisfied with your development.
Teaching is my passion. Especially, when it comes to teaching my native language and culture! I have four different classes. 1. Alphabet class - Anyone who wants to read Korean words and sentences 2. Daily Conversation Class - Anyone who wants to learn Korean for fun, improve Korean speaking skills 3. Kids Class - Any young children who need to learn Korean 4.
I base my classes on media such as k-drama, k-pop, k-show etc.
I give many chances of speaking to students. So the class will be mostly on conversation. Each lesson will have a certain subject and we will talk about that in Korean. The class will not be boring like school lecture.
annyeonghaseyo - 안녕하세요! You love BTS? You love to watch all the K-dramas? AND you want to know what they're saying in Korean? - then it's a perfect time to learn Korean now! I'm Sunny Jeong. I'm teaching Korean for the people who have full passions about learning Korean but struggling, like where to start, what to learn, and all those thoughts - 'am I speaking correctly?'.
My teaching style is based on the needs of a student. If a student needs a particular focus on one aspect than another, I am to accomodate that need every time a lesson is planned. In general, I am a firm believer in grammar in learning a second language. I will, hence, provide students with the nitty-gritty of how even the smallest of bits of a sentence works.
Classroom management, personalized learning programs, and innovative educational techniques are just a few of my areas of expertise. By teaching students in a wide range of ages and situations, I have honed my communication, creativity, and motivational skills.
My teaching method is using active learning approach to teach student. Pay more attention on the basic knowledge.
I think teaching should be focused on the student's own situation. So I will do my best to understand you. First, I want to be a patient teacher. I know that all people have a different pace to learn. So I will explain when they get it certainly and do whatever it takes to help them learn. Second, I want to be a friendly teacher. A teacher should be comfortable to ask several questions.
I will approach topic and lesson with K contents such as Drama, Music - lyrics, Movie to understand Korean easily
I enjoy getting to meet new people and would be happy to talk you about Korean culture, K-pop, K-dramas or any other studies and topics of your interest.
Vocabulary is a must! You will have a voca test every lesson. Furthermore, I will help you with prefix and suffix to understand korean voca better. You will get used to Korean through practical Korean dialogues and k-pop lyrics. You will work on your pronunciation with a native Korean speaker.
