annyeonghaseyo! 안녕하세요! 반가워요 :) I help students to understand and learn the correct way of writing and speaking Korean and then use resources such as Kpops, Kdramas to recap the content with fun. I hope students to have at least one of their favourite Korean-cultured interest that they are willing to learn and utilise their Korean skills more and more.
Learning a new language should fun and enjoyable for students. Therefore, I envision instructing a class that is driven by the interests of my students. In order to create an interest- oriented class, I will be utilizing diverse forms of teaching methods such as flash cards, pop quizzes, music, videos, work sheets, activities, textbooks, etc.
I do not stick to the textbook materials as learning a language has to be an enjoyable experience. I always use some songs or oral expressions to explain nooks and crannies of the Korean language. I always encourage my students to utilise what they have learned throughout the course into their own life as language is a skill not a trophy.
I believe in teaching from the perspective of the students. It makes learning much more effective. I would try to approach the language from the students' background. I have done a lot of peer tutoring before in many different subjects. They made it from fail to pass with flying colours.
Once I want to express, I need to know a lot of words. So I get the word first. Then, use words to make common real-life sentences. Of course, the pronunciation also learns.
I have experience in both classroom environment and private lessons. I teach Korean differently compared to the official KLPT, focusing more on the simple vowels, then consonants, ensuring that the student is familiar with the concepts before moving on to the grammar.
I'm using my own teaching materials. This is my brief class schedule. - Test/Conversation in Korean (10-15 mins) - Class (45-50 mins) - Extra Class (10-15 mins) : Idioms, Slangs, Cultural background learning - Review (5-10 mins) * Writing assignment will be given every class. Topic can be various depends on their level and interests.
My teaching method will be discussed prior to each lessons and studnets will be given a lot of homework based on their levels. I make sure that students reach their target or tests after lessons provided. You will be surprised by how much you have improved.

For IELTS: I base my classes on going through materials I've prepared and attempting mock exam papers and prepare for the exams. Teaching them the right "skills" to tackle the questions to get correct answers in time. For oral (speaking) classes: Decide a topic and role-play with students. It aids them to think creatively and engage more interactively.
My teaching method is depend on your interest. If you want to study for a test I'll prepare class for test. If you interested in K-pop or K-drama, we'll study with drama and singer's vedio. Whatever you interested in, I'll study with that you like. We will learn relative with you're interest.
Still on the way to teaching life for 10 years. Staying in Australia for 9 years at the moment and now still teaching English to Korean, and Korean to Australian.
Simply, easily, giving example.
I would often use song lyrics and realistic dialogues (unlike many textbooks) to teach my students. I often use song lyrics, because a lot of Korean people relate to songs and the students will be able to learn the words and get the better pronunciation of the words.
I prefer to teach the expressions that we use in daily lives even though I use text books as well. I try to combine fun things and basic things naturally, avoiding difficult grammer terms. I admit learning a language takes a lot of time and affort. However, it should be a facinating experience as the same time.
It is different and depends on your levels. There are so confusing words in Korean. So basically i can teach you that pattern or phrase. And we will have time that we can talk with one theme. And sometime we just enjoy Korean culture.

Hi, guys. I know how hard learning a new thing is. I had leaned English for about 10 years but there was no such improvement before I was gone to Canada for English for 1 year. I was gratefully improved in Canada on the new language, which was English, at ease and in a no-stress/yes-talking-freely environment unlike learning it in Korea.

I would say that I teach in a very simple way. I adapt to what you want. Before starting a lesson I ask a lot of questions to understand you better, to know why you want to take classes, what has worked for you or not, do you have some bases in the language ? It's very important to know that and after depending on your answers I adapt to make you a personalized course that meets your needs.
