My teaching methodology is founded on good technique and an understanding of musicality, modelled from the head of guitar at the ANU, Associate Professor Timothy Kain. I believe that there is no point to playing any instrument unless you are enjoying yourself. Enjoyment stems from a sense of achievement when you play a piece musically and with good technique.
I base my classes off of solid foundation and nailing the simple things in order to make the more difficult parts of learning guitar much more intuitive and simple. Lessons can be guided by the student's interests or I can help a student figure out what is best for their improvement (this is especially helpful for beginners).
My teaching is based upon gaining an understanding of what the student wants to get out of learning the guitar and move forward with a fun and structured approach to achieve that goal, whether that be to learn songs, follow a formal grading route, develop technique or learn new skills - beginner to advanced.
I'm very easygoing, fun and passionate about music. I get along with everyone very easily. Learning with me will be like going on a carnival, full of fun and games. I'm very dedicated towards my students. I'll always be ready to help my students in any way.
My method of teaching is to help my students understand more about music and how the instrument can really be the best addition to any band setting such as wedding gigs, acoustic pub/bar gigs or even live music events. It isn't hard to learn how to play as long as there is passion, I can guide you towards the right path.
Unlike most tutors I have interacted with, my key approach to tutoring any student is to make sure that they are having fun. Progress and improvement is always a given key objective, but sometime the fun in just learning and playing an instrument can be lost.
I teach in a very simplistic way where my student understands every single step am teaching them. I also provide my very own experience and advice which might make the student feel more connected. I provide resources on what I teach so student and remember what I taught after we are done with the lesson.
I love Rock and Roll so anyone who wants to learn the old ways to learn guitar should contact. My structure is based on the student, i will keep on a single lesson until and unless you are able to do it and keep on building day after day.
+ Repertoire of songs according to the musical taste of the student + Mix of practice and theory + Berklee Material + The objective is to learn by having fun
My teaching lessons are a mix of practical ability, theoretical knowledge and aural skills to allow students to quickly learn how to play tunes, then understand the theory behind songs and finally equip them to be able to create their own original music.
I like to personalise the way I teach for each student. Sometimes we may star from scratch, or build upon what you've already accomplished. I try to find techniques that would work for you. We can go through songs and break down each song, learning the proper techniques and refining your sound.
Keith Armitage has been a professional musician all his life and is a multi award winning songwriter and teaches songwriting to all ages and all levels. Become familiar with the hook line, verse, Chorus, Rhyme, Word Palettes, Meter and much more.
I can cater to all styles and genres but I have the most experience in teaching beginner to intermediate students.

I can teach beginner guitar lessons through to lessons and tutoring for HSC students (in both performance and theory areas). I'm patient, easy to understand and want the best for all music students. I am proficient in reading sheet music, performing, and writing about music - which is a major component of the HSC music course.
My method is to focus and improve upon a student's weaknesses whilst bolstering their strengths to make sure that they are enjoying lessons and are genuinely interested in what they wish to accomplish. My goal is to make sure that my students are engaged and willing to learn more each time I see them.
I gained my strong foundation in the areas of Music Theory and Harmony, Musical Composition, vocal pop and knowledge and understanding in popular and jazz music. My areas of expertise are playing guitar and teaching Baroque, Classical, Spanish, Flamenco, Persian, Mediterranean and South American music.
I teach reading of notes and chords as well as improvisation for more advanced students. For younger students I provide a reading method that will enable them to move to other instruments should they choose to at a later time.
I teach in a practical and fun way for students. I am kind, patient and happy to teach. My lessons are geared towards beginners wanting to learn. The lesson structure is by practicing playing the instrument, improvisation, music theory and a revision on the lesson learnt so far.
