My lessons are aimed at all students whether you're in school or university. My aim is to make my students enjoy and love Maths like I did because when you do the subject becomes easy. Everyone could be good at Maths long as you understand the fundamentals and this will be down to your style and which teaching style you will find ideal, everyone is different.
My teaching method is really simple is to go step by step topics while touching base with other earlier topics if needed for one to understand the topic. I like to plan my classes ahead and leave work until next class, in which more time is utilised.
My teaching method is based on an interactive process. It is not just me talking in the class, I give students a chance to come forward and share their ways and methods to solve problems. I try and provide little extra comfort to someone who finds it difficult to come forward in class, and due appreciation to those who don't.
The essence of maths is not to make simple things complicated, but to make complicated things simple. I, as a tutor make maths look fun and easy for students who have difficulty in solving even the most basic questions of maths.
Hi, I'm Marcus and I am currently an undergraduate student at the Australian National University. I've scored distinctions in mathematics at various major examinations and participated in Mathematics Olympiad competitions. I have a strong passion for mathematics, and I am willing to help anyone who wants to improve their understanding of the subject.
I like to begin by introducing the student to the over-arching concept and building a solid foundation before moving onto the specific ideas and concepts. I like to use a variety of techniques such as mind-maps, checklists and flow charts alongside discussion and key note summaries for the student to take home at the end of each session.
My teaching method is introducing/strengthening the foundations of any subject and then ironing out any wrinkles in understanding to make sure the student understands the material completely. I am a strong believer in positive reinforcement and being open to asking as many questions as possible.
I am looking to assist middle school and high school children facing problems by clearly explaining concepts for a stronger foundation and tackling sample problems for practicality. The first lesson or a couple days before the first lesson I will request for the student’s syllabus and ask the student the specific problems he/she has with the subject.
My teaching method will be quite specific to the individual student. While I'm happy to set out a general structure for a lesson based on the current curriculum I will look predominantly to tailor my lesson to the needs of the student. I'm flexible in my teaching.
As a passionate and hard-working student, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at school and would love to provide academic assistance for students when possible. I am to be as articulate and logical as possible when helping others, in order to help without inducing stress.
I believe that a tutor needs to be a good observer, an analyst, and an empathetic collaborator for the students in their learning journey. She should be able to tailor the tutoring to the abilities and needs of individual students.
I am personally very social and easy to talk person. I help students as a friend or classmate instead of being a classical teacher at school and I have practiced this method for years. I believe building friendship with students is the key in teaching and being an effective tutor. I try to listen and understand students well before I start helping them with the problems.
I would like to consider myself as a potential candidate to make the best use of my strong interpersonal communication, ability to manage difficult situations and resolve problems and maximize my knowledge. I believe, teaching is a learning process and that is why I prefer to name my lesson as "interaction session". That means, a session is not only teach students but also fulfill their desire.
I tend to start by focusing of self-confidence. I've spoken to many parents who are concerned that struggling with maths is affecting their child's self esteem. I try to eliminate all negative self-talk from my lessons, and focus how to improve. I'll tailor my methods to suit each student individually, because everyone thinks differently.
My teaching method is to explain students to form deep understanding of concepts and theories while encouraging engagement. Then I let the students perform their own task with me assisting when necessary. I make sure I revise the content before every session.
I am a very engaged tutor who is more than willing to go above and beyond for their students. I prepare materials before classes using my own resources and am very engaged and hands-on during lessons to ensure the best academic result possible for my students.
Having tutored high school students before, I am looking to continue to tutor students in years 7-10 in maths. My lessons are generally designed to supplement what the student is learning at school. I usually start by talking about the content covered in class and gaging the student's level of understanding of each concept in order to determine where my lesson focus should be.
I believe a good tutor is someone who cares about their students and makes tutoring engaging and interesting - for it's when students are engaged that they take the most out of their learning. As a tutor, I strive to make sessions academically rigorous, yet also make tutoring sessions that students want to come back to.
Throughout my extensive experience in tutoring, I have realised that every student has the capability to reach their full academic potential when they are taught concepts in a manner that they can understand.
I base my classes on the topics that your school does because I understand the frustration of falling behind and not understanding the topic completely at school. I normally do lessons that goes over old concepts that students find difficult or introduce new concepts that may provide a different approach and outlook on mathematical theories that students find difficult.
The key to learning science and maths is not being a genius - it is appreciating the underlying beauty of the ideas that are being presented, and hungering to dig deeper.
I like to take a different approach to the traditional teaching style which at times can be difficult for students to understand. I specifically look at the issues in the subject and address them in many different types of ways until the student is confident that they can understand it and explain it back to me.
Lessons will include establishing the student's weaknesses and strengths, working through homework with the student, and assigning additional exercises to improve student's ability. I will also establish a rapport with the student to ensure that lessons are as fun and interesting as possible, and to gain the student's interest.
I started focusing on the phonetics of the language and the different sounds between English and Spanish. Then common phrases to start with the grammar of the language.
I believe that it is difficult to understand maths without knowing the relevance behind it, therefore I like to teach using real world examples and also by making lessons as fun as possible.
It is important to have individuals engaged in a topic, therefore my approach is to create plans around their interests to encourage participation. If I can have someone understand the basic concepts of something and relate it to something they are interested in, they are more likely to learn/ enjoy it.
I always adopt a 'fun and learn' approach by linking the taught lessons with everyday applications in real life. In this way, I have been able to make my lesson interesting even for the students who fear mathematics. I have proven ability of making my subject areas interesting for students from any background.

i like to teach with practical approach .
Step - by step - Lecturing (providing information about topic) - Examples ( Firstly done by myself with explanations provided) - Student working on an example with assistance if required - Student working independently - Homework if required
