I focus on providing a comprehensive view of the material presented, oriented towards achieving confident and excellent understanding of the curriculum. Each lesson plan includes a specific goal of understanding a certain concept for that session, coupled with a mixture of challenging and exam representative questions.
When learning, students must first understand the basic concepts of the topic and then solidify these concepts by applying them to real life situations. I find that when students can relate to the topic they are more engaged and likely to improve. My job is not to spoon feed them the answers but rather guide students how to search for them so they can succeed on their own.
My teaching method is adaptive to my students' learning abilities! I tend to establish a trustworthy environment where the most effective learning tools for each individual student are explored and applied. I approach topics according to students' goals and priorities.
As a tutor my aim is to give students a professional learning environment where they can receive help with any queries regarding the subject so they can excel in their assessments. The structure of the lesson will be based on the textbooks used in school and the student's weakness. Prioritisation of student's weakness and helping them improve will be my main goal.
Lessons I provide will be geared towards students who not only want to do well in exams but also enjoy the subject material. Lessons will be discussion based and participation from both tutor and student will be required. The idea being to provide a less formal approach to study in a fashion that can make it enjoyable.
My teaching methodology aims at building a strong basic foundation on the topic and making the student develop more on it by providing an intriguing question and helping the student extrapolate the concepts. Each topic will begin with the basics and each session will end with a simple question that will keep them motivated and also give leads on the next topic.
I am extremely passionate about teaching. I provide a learning environment that encourages questions, ignites curiosity and fosters love for the natural world and environment. I am very patient with solving a student's doubt. I make sure that each student gets to learn at his/her pace. I make sure that every students gets equal attention, irrespective of learning abilities.
I would like to blend and use all my research based and theoretical knowledge over different aspects of biology to generate unique teaching method to cover the student's institutional study curriculum with significant focus on recent and real life sciences based examples so that biology becomes easier, understandable, and interesting!
I give attention to individual student and teach from their level. My interactive teaching sessions focus on developing student's thinking and problem-solving skills and step by step approach to reach a solution at the same time where the student finds learning is fun. Student will become more creative and innovative.
I am not tutoring anyone as a teacher but I will put myself in your position, a student, as how I was in year 12. Learning can be a little bit difficult and I'll ask you to tell your understands before going into the lessons. If I find that you don't quite understand and you're a bit confused, I'll correct you on the way. If you don't get the whole concept, that's ok! I am here to help.
I believe that interest in the subject being taught is most important, with its difficulty being fairly irrelevant, to a student who loves what they're studying. I take advantage of my contagious passion for biomedical science to enhance the students learning experience and academic performance.
I base my lessons on understanding the current syllabus and judging from the current knowledge and skill of my students, will either aim to provide supplementary lessons to improve their foundation knowledge of the subject or build foundations from the ground up
Each child learns in a different way. In order to assist in the learning process it is important for me to identify a student's learning style so that tuition can be tailored to the specific needs of each student. In this way problem areas can be addressed both timeously and effectively.
I have vast teaching experience, the final few years focussed on AS level Biology (Human Biology). I am passionate about the subject and enjoy the practical component, as hands on experience is integral in learning. Fun and interesting lessons on all aspects of Biology, including Human Biology. Worksheets and notes, including as much practical application as possible.
Super friendly and varied teaching methods. I know everyone learns differently so my goal is to find the best method that suits you. Let me know what you struggle with and we will overcome those challenges. Sometimes it just takes describing something in a different way for you to understand.
my name is Melissa, I have a bachelor degree in general biology and still working on my master degree in environmental sustainability, I am a former teacher and tutor. in my previous teaching job I had a full intensive training about the new methodology of teaching, so I developed a special and new teaching technique that has been really successful with all my previous students.
My teaching method is totally dependent on the student I am giving lessons. PPT, Book or Notes whichever way the student is comfortable in. I try to clarify all the doubts, discuss with them all the topics they want to understand.
The way I teach is tailored for each individual, depending on their own methods of learning. I use different teaching and pedagogical methods that I have learned through my education degree to help my students achieve the outcomes they desire. I am happy to give lectures, organize visual learning systems, and where appropriate, develop practical lessons or demonstrations.
After understanding the client's area of challenge/difficulty, I structure my sessions through giving a brief overview of the area of learning. I then ask the student where they have questions or would like to know more.
I, myself, learn through charts and diagrams as I believe that textbook knowledge can get a bit boring sometimes! And this is my teaching method, to suit students as they are. I have taught students who hate books and also some who love reading. So I adjust according to how you want to learn.
I like to make worksheets for my students that cover the previous lesson's material. So part of the lesson is a worksheet, and the next part is a teaching session. If there are any problems we would go over them at that point in time as well. Also, notes will be provided with blanks that are required to be filled in during the lesson.
I really enjoy helping students to improve and achieve the best they can whether it is through some guidance on how to study, organisation or going through content and questions. I understand that every student has different needs and ways of learning and I am happy to cater for that.
As a teacher with a background in physical education I employ a hands on approach in my lessons. Communication between student and teacher is a key focus of my lessons and I believe that an inquiry based method of teaching helps students to reach there goals.
I am a methodical teacher, I identify weaknesses and place a heavier focus on them while still consolidating areas already known to the student. I like to engage students and teach in a way that interests the individual. I do this by getting to know the student as a person briefly before we start so that I know what works best for them.
my teaching method is very simple. i will make study cards/flash cards to teach students and use mind maps to explain concepts. i will use the discussing method to students that will get involve two-way communication between participants. i will encourge in active learning with students.
My teaching method is collaborative in nature where I encourage students to participate after each session , this helps me understand their current level of understanding and can give inputs to improve them, I also do the flipped classroom model at times ,wherein the student prepares for the lessons in advance however if time doesn't permit I wouldn't insist on this , the most important is the...
I use a lot of visual cues in my teaching. As a student it’s helped me retain a lot of information this way. All my notes and teaching use different colours, diagrams, fonts and symbols in order to help students store more information in long term memory. I like to break up difficult concepts. I believe in order to undertand something very complicated, it is essential to learn the basics.
I firstly try to understand what works best for the student, as its highly important to know their grasping power. I believe in having fine conceptual knowledge about the subject. Knowing basics is the certitude for a science student and therefore I approach the teaching in that manner. I don't like to rush while giving lessons.
I have a very didactic approach to my teaching method: where I will help you learn the fundamentals of the topic at hand using visual aids and connect them to the theoretical foundations so that you can have that "Oh yeah" moment, where everything comes together and makes sense.
My philosophy about teaching is to always make the concepts clear enough to be able to visualize and picture them in mind. This is essential when learning about medical science subjects, where learning by rote never helps the student.
