I am a highly motivated and passionate recent High School graduate who is extremely knowledgeable about the WACE program. I am able to offer lessons for Literature, English, Philosophy and Art and have successfully increased the grades of past students.
I as I have said before I am a published writer who has a passion for Ancient Greece. I am aiming this tutoring at all ages and all levels of creative writing and poetry. I am aiming the Ancient Greece tutoring to an older audience from age 13+.
Based on what the student knows I could then teach them taking that into consideration. Depending on how much they know and for what purpose they are wanting to learn I could frame teaching around that. In the past I have taught migrant students that were having difficulty in schools and they were doing a lot better subsequently.
My first aim is to work out the learning style of the student and will do this during our first session together. Moving on from their we will work with a range of techniques to support your learning style. I am happy to work one-on-one or in small groups with students and enjoy mentoring students, as well as just tutoring them.
I believe learning should be relaxed and enjoyable and one-on-one tutoring can make a huge difference. I take time to get to know my students and find out what their likes and dislikes are their interest and their passions.
My teaching method depends on the student's needs. I work closely with what the student needs to learn/ know for their studies, and I try to find creative ways to expand their learning through discussion and application. I also value feedback from students and parents if they would like to see a change in my teaching style.
I am a bit of an all rounder from music theory and piano tuition, english language and creative writing or assistance with essays and academic writing. Each lesson is modified to the child's abilities with an end goal in mind.
Looking for a tutor who is PASSIONATE, ENGAGING, who UNDERSTANDS the demands of school, and was TOP 0.05% in WA? I believe students cannot learn without a positive and strong connection with their teacher. They also cannot learn without a teacher who is engaging, and who genuinely cares about their student's success.
I am a Bachelor of Arts student at Murdoch University and I am studying a double major in English and Creative Writing with Theater and Drama. I believe that reading and writing are essential in life because having these two skills will open up a whole new world to you. My teaching method is to get to know each of my students well and target my lessons to their individual needs.
My approach to writing classes is to equip you with the skills you need so that you will be able to improve on yourself in the future (and you can! Trust me!). Emphasis of areas of skills will depend on your writing strengths and weaknesses.
1-2 hour sessions with flexible options for what to focus on. I can provide content resources such as notes and diagrams, review strategies such as palm cards and practice tests, and also feedback on writing and answering for assessments and the WACE exams. I know the syllabus for my subjects very well and can provide excellent strategies for targeted revision and answers.
I base my teaching specifically on the SCSA syllabus. I have created study guides that I base my teaching around in order to ensure the student is fully aware of what they do and do not need to learn, teaching this content in the way they learn best so that they can ace their exams.
I research topics and areas of study before hand to ensure I am fully prepared in providing great tutoring and ensuring and I am able to answer any questions. I conduct the tutoring session in libraries in the majority of cases helping the student work through the topic step by step and answering questions.
My teaching methods involve looking at multiple images/poems in order to practice techniques and perfect them. It involves repetition by writing paragraphs and essays in order to practice skills and see what can be improved. It also involves working together with both the tutor and student so the student's opinions and thoughts can be clearly presented within the essay with just a little help.
I will give personal feedback and adapt lessons to the needs of the students. My strong knowledge base and high level of experience means I can adapt lessons to suit the needs of the students.
I am High school qualified teacher registered with TRBWA. I have over ten years of experience in teaching English & Humanities subjects. My aim is to provide a flexible learning environment considering the needs of the students motivating them to achieve their goals.
My teaching method is very simple and straightforward that helps students understand lessons at their own pace. I base my classes in accordance as to what students already know about the topic being undertaken and follow along with their school curriculum or their person goals.
I am a friendly 19 year old girl looking to tutor primary school aged students English. I am patient and experienced in explaining concepts in an engaging way. I am interested in teaching 1 to 2 hour long lessons depending on the student's needs. I can teach all levels of English and am experienced with children because I have been babysitting for several years.
My lessons are personalised to the need of the student. Typically this includes multiple explanations of concepts in different ways, question-answer based learning and application. Use of diagrams an anaolgies are common in my lessons to cater for visual learners.
My teaching method is based on a diverse group of learners. I believe each student learns differently and my first action is to discover how the specific student I am working with learns. I then tailor my lessons to meet these needs and create lessons to inspire the students mind in ways that the learning is ingrained in them not just a memory.
My teaching method is tailored to each students type of learning. Be it visual, auditory or tactile, I can tailor my lessons to the student. I also want to build up my students and nurture an environment where they feel comfortable to grow, ask questions and fail.
Hello :) My name is Amber and I am a second year Accounting student available to tutor English for all grades including English ATAR year 12. I completed high school in 2016, achieving the cohort award for English ATAR and have a passion for the subject.
English is an already tricky subject but I aim to make it as enjoyable as possible, focusing on tips and tricks in order to pass the subject and make English more bearable.
My teaching methods focus on heavily on human interaction. I have found that it is much easier to explain to a student a particular topic when I am discussing it with them through speech. It is essential that I connect with them verbally, as it is much easier to explain to someone something through spoken words than to use written words.
My teaching method revolves around making content both relevant and engaging, thus enabling students to both connect and see a purpose in their learning. Incorporating a balanced literacy program through other areas of the curriculum is vital as it breaks down learning areas and forms a bigger picture.
I'm very creative and patient and like to build resilience and self-worth in all my students. I believe that if individual needs are met students are more likely to stick to what they're studying.
Private lessons emphasise students revising the way they communicate their idea, rather than pushing specific outlines for one type of paper. My methods take into consideration individual learning needs to foster confidence that you won't need a tutor for long. I prefer to run group study in a collaborative way, but will take time to hear personal preferences.
If there is a learning area that needs a little bit of work, this is the option for you! I can sit down with you for a 1-2hr period where we will study and also practice studying techniques to help you develop ways to independently thrive. I will come to you, in a space you find comfortable and we will get to work using fun games and strategies I have learnt and devised.
My lessons benefit students actively looking to improve themselves in their given subject field, and with a passion and genuine interest in the subject. Private sessions offer the best experience as it means I'll have more time to interact with the student one on one. Workload will vary depending on the student.
As a teacher my methodology is the student based approach, I believe each individual has a personal learning method which is best suited for them.
