I am a Western Sydney University student, studying to become a secondary teacher. Although these lessons are geared towards primary school students, to help them with understanding and doing their homework. The structure of my lessons will consist of knowing and understanding the child's personality, and ability of the topic in their homework.
I have been a preceptor to nursing students and being patient is important. I make sure to gauge what their current knowledge is and the goals they want to meet in assessing the time and teaching required. Every person is different and the method must be suited to their needs and capability. I am a Registered Nurse with a post-graduate certificate in Anaesthetics/Recovery in Australia.
Basically, it depends on the student's ability. I will adjust my teaching methods based on different students. For more capable students, I will give them extra exercise as a challenging task for them. For weaker students, I will help them to catch up with the school progress first.
I believe that students guide their own learning; I cannot take the material and make you magically learn it. As such, I base my teachings in a collaborative nature - Students should come geared with questions and an inquisitive mind. We will work together to tackle difficult questions and ensure that by the end of it you have a clear understanding.
Due to my current university studies, I have an extensive portfolio of tips and tricks to facilitate engaging ways of improving student learning. My subject strengths lie in Maths and English up to a Year 8 level. I firmly believe in adjusting experiences to suit the learning style of the child to ensure successful knowledge transmission.
I believe that academic concepts are best learned when they are contextualised to suit individual needs and will aim to present knowledge in such a way that is suited to the student and their learning needs/preferences.
My lesson plans will be geared towards the particular student in order to help them in the topic they need help with. My rule is to first get to know the student so that they feel comfortable learning with me and are willing to be honest about what they can and can't do.
My goal is to help my students/clients to improve and enjoy the process. Ideally, you understand why you learn what you learn to increase your motivation...enjoying the path you are going. I believe we all have potential, but we need to find a way to evoke it :).
My teaching pedagogy is underpinned by theories such as the 'Universal Design for Learning'. I believe that content should be presented in multiple ways (i.e. tactile, visual, hearing) and that students should have multiple opportunities to practice and apply concepts.
My teaching method includes first helping out with homework to assess the level of help required with the aim being to work ahead of the school classes. I am also able to provide additional textbook questions and past papers. Any questions brought up by the tutee will try and be answered in the teaching time otherwise I will follow up and send through an answer after this period.
I strive to give each child an equal opportunity to learn, differentiating my teaching to suit the needs of your child. I am a kind, reliable and dedicated individual who will have you and your child’s best interests at heart. During my lessons, I aim to establish a safe and supportive learning environment in order to build a positive relationship with my students.
As a naturally outgoing person I am able to work with all sorts of students. Generally my lessons have an informal structure, and I focus on assisting my students with whatever work or subject matter they are currently struggling with. I am always happy to alter my lessons to what works best for the student.
During tutoring sessions, I aim to work off what your child needs and where their weaknesses may be. Generally, I will set up a rough guide as to what will be covered in the session, and work according to what will most benefit your child. I believe that tutoring should not be a chore for any individual, and aim to make each session interesting and engaging as much as possible.

I am a passionate and inspired pre-service primary school teacher looking to expand my knowledge and work within students one-on-one while completing my Bachelor of Primary Education. My teaching method considers the student’s current level of understanding and works with this to achieve progress and success for the student.
My teaching methods will be understanding your abilities and be knowing your likes and dislike in particular subject and proceeding with the topic you like most.
I am interested in teaching your primary aged children, and can provide a holistic approach to their learning experience, as I understand the importance of making their learning relevant to their daily lives. I endeavour to make learning a fun experience for children who may not enjoy it.
I am a friendly but straight to the point kind of person. Typically my first lesson is spent learning more about the students strengths and weaknesses in regards to the subject. Essentially, what kind of help they require so I can optimise our time spent together. From here we set a goal and work towards achieving it.
My teaching style is largely based around developing a relationship and learning how the student enjoys learning. I would then use a range of activities such as games, worksheets, hands on/visual explanations, oral questionnaires/discussions and explanations that I know the student will understand to ensure they develop a full understanding of the concept.
I generally follow school routine and prioritise school syllabus and homework. If the student is falling back in some subjects, I try to focus more on that and try my best to make that topic interesting to him/her. I help in essay writing. English non-speaking households can expect me help their kids to be efficient in English speaking, writing and grammar.
I am in my 3rd year of my bachelors degree. I have tutored biology and chemistry to uni students and have tutored science and maths to school students. I have usually done 1 hour study session but if you need more I am happy to increase the time. My method is simple, I want to help my students overcome their weaknesses and improve their marks.
My aim is to make kids feel confident and independent. For example, I encourage them to try new to do use their skills to challenge themselves, like doing difficult Maths problems with minimal guidance and using new vocabulary to play a game in a foreign language.
I have an equivalent level of English, maths, science and other subjects to tutor children in primary school that need help with their homework and course work. I also can teach ukulele and a little bit of other music knowledge. I also offer babysitting including house work and cooking.
My lessons are geared towards all students as I am to encourage engagement in learning through adaptability and tailoring to the needs of a student. My tutoring structure would take into account what the student is having trouble with, what any teachers comments have highlighted and what I believe could be improved.
Hello Parents, My name is Ellie and I am a 21 years old Nursing Student at USC. I believe I have the experience and necessary requirements such as police checks, blue card, vaccinations, and first aid certificate to look after your children. I am a trustworthy, caring, honest and happy person, and love children of all ages. I come from a big family of 5 siblings so I am used to a crazy household.
I believe the first step in any educational journey is getting to know each student. Finding out their interests and learning style will assist in tailoring lessons that engage the learner. I enjoy using hands on activities and try to relate learning to everyday life.
Due to my limited tutoring experience, I have yet to discover the most effective method of teaching. however, during my gap year, I had the privilege of working in a special needs summer camp in America. Not only did it allow me to work in a multicultural society, it also gave me the tools to become adaptive to different personalities, learning styles and above all, patience.
I understand that not everyone learns the same and that if you only teach using one style without being able to gauge the children’s needs and understanding how they learn best you might as well not bother. I am practical and adapt my communication to suit the child I’m working with.
I believe that everyone learns best on when learning through areas that interest them. I pride myself on integrating these individual interests into a learning plan in order to teach in a fun and non-threatening manner. I understand that no two people learn in the same way and will find the way of learning that best suites each individual.
