As a fully qualified secondary school science teacher my methodology is structured and includes regular assessment. We can study entire topics or pin point areas of weakness. Following this, I follow up with assesssment to check understanding as well as the ability to access all marks available in a mark scheme e.g. six mark question practice. I typically produce lessons which probe and question the student rather than lecturing them. This creates an individual critical thinker which is especially important with the new and more difficult GCSE. Furthermore, makes the student more interested in the topic being taught.
