My teaching method is simple: tailoring each lesson to my student's needs and personality in a fun and approachable manner. I believe that every lesson should be enjoyable and offer a memorable experience, rather than a series of impersonal exercises.
My name is Emilie, I am a 30 year old French native who has been living and working on three continents since 2009 (France, UK, Canada, Australia). Coming from a bilingual family (French mother/British father) and studying foreign languages at university, the teaching and acquisition of languages has always been a large part of my life and a real passion.

Emelie is an excellent teacher - she was my French teacher for three terms at the Alliance Francaise in Melbourne (A2.4-A2.6) - and I write as someone who has spent part of their career mentoring teaching staff at Monash University. She had a tremendous empathy for the quite complex range of linguistic talents and general experience she had to cope with among her students. Every class was very enjoyable, but I was impressed to see how she also managed to get through the curriculum, keeping people focused (well, most of the time) on learning what they were supposed to be learning. I certainly learnt a great deal and gained a lot of confidence in French from her supportive and encouraging approach. She's bi-lingual, so you get jokes in two languages. I am happy to recommend her to the community.
