Based on the purpose of learners' learning Korean, I will develop relevant teaching materials and discuss them with learners to refine the details of learning and teaching. Materials would contain books, any text on the line, music, poem, TV drama etc. This also means setting goals and develop strategies regarding how often to study and how to study and assess. Role plays and video recordings can be included. Ideally I strongly recommended learners to interact with local Koreans in Brisbane areas. Surely this can be part of assessment.
I am currently working as an Interpreter. I taught Korean high school students who chose Korean as a subject for HSC in Sydney for 5 years. At that time I was learning MA in Applied Linguistics at Sydney University, focusing on Korean linguistics and cross-cultural communication. After that, I further studies Linguistics (specifically Conversation Analysis) at Macquarie University. I am interested in learning and teaching how to interact in learning the second language or a foreign language. That way, I can broaden my scope and enjoy a personal growth. I speak basic Japanese and German.
