Most of the time, there’ll be a voice talking us through it while suggesting the different techniques we should be doing.
This type of guided meditation can help relax our bodies, recentre our thoughts, and focus on our breathing, heartbeat, and positive thoughts.
In these videos, there’s just a gentle voice guiding you through ten minutes of exercises that you should be doing daily.
These aren’t necessarily like what you’d imagine meditation to be. However, they do still include a lot of the main techniques like diaphragmatic (or deep) breathing.
There’s also relaxing music playing in the background. Get yourself comfortable, breathe in through your nose, and let your breathing cleanse your body over the course of ten minutes.
These videos can last around 30 minutes to an hour and focus on calming you down and breathing in order to help you get off to sleep.
Of course, you can use these types of videos at other moments throughout the day to help you relax, but they’re best used just before you go to sleep.

If you’re so busy you can’t manage 10 minutes of daily meditation, there are plenty of videos shorter than most pop songs. You can quickly squeeze one of these sessions into any part of your day, regardless of what you’re currently doing.
Of course, you should make sure that you’re able to get comfortable (either standing, sitting, or lying down) for it to really be effective.
While you may doubt the benefits of meditating just for three minutes, you should still have a look around the web for these types of videos because some of them are surprisingly good!
