My teaching method is called the Socratic Method. It involves reviewing the literature and then creating questions based on the information. I will then either ask the student the questions myself, or have the student take the parts of the information they are having trouble with and write their own questions. We will then discuss the questions and the answers, and how we can remember the answers to these using creative methods (my personal favorites are creative imagery).
I am in my final year of my Bachelor of Science at the University of Technology, Sydney, majoring in medical science. My education is mainly in the medical sciences such as physiology and anatomy, but I use all my elective subjects for chemistry, including organic chemistry. I don't have much experience tutoring, but I will use the same method to teach as I do to study, and it always works for me.
I am currently studying my final year of a Bachelor of Science (Medical Science) with a GPA of 6.58 (equivalent to 3.58). Additionally, in my first year at university I scored in the top 10% of my class of almost 700 students in Chemistry 1, and as a result was offered a place in an advanced Chemistry 2 course, which allowed me to then go on to study Metabolic Biochemistry and Organic Chemistry.
I have two years experience as a Notetaker for the Accessibility Service at the University of Technology, Sydney, in which I take notes and provide support for students that are visually or hearing impaired or injured and cannot make it to class.
