I adapt each lesson to the abilities and needs of the individual student and what they wish to achieve - I tend to use each piece the student learns as a stepping stone in learning the techniques that they will eventually use to teach themselves. I believe very much that music should, above all, be enjoyable, and while I will push my students to learn what they need to learn, I try and make lessons as fun as I can!
I am a classical clarinettist who has just completed their Honours year of their Classical Performance degree at the Elder Conservatorium. I have been teaching at different schools in the southern suburbs for 3+ years, teaching from years 4 - 12, and have had extensive experience in classical ensembles, including wind orchestras, symphony orchestras and chamber music.
If the lesson is cancelled less than two hours prior to the start time, I will charge for the lesson as a booking of my time. I understand sudden illness and unforseen circumstances may occur, but I will still require notice that the lesson is not required that day.
