When I teach and/or tutor any subject the first thing I find out is what the student/students actually know and can already do. The next step is to focus on understanding the questions they are required to answer. Then we build on prior knowledge, explore the topic and follow a plan to complete the required tasks/assignments.
I have worked in three State education systems and spent 7 years teaching in the UK. I have also worked as a writer, musician and theatre director while working as a teacher. I have taught all year levels in all humanities subjects and am very used to adapting quickly to new environments. I always work very hard and strive to adapt lessons to fit the needs of my students.
