I am a friendly and passionate teacher who truly cares about making a difference to my students' education.
It is important for me to develop a clear line of communication with the parent and student, and (where possible) to include input from the classroom teacher in order to make the most from our tutoring sessions, ensuring we are all working toward to the same goal.
I am confident in my ability to design and implement engaging teaching programs for whole classes, small groups and individual tutoring sessions which cater to differentiated abilities and learning styles. I understand the importance of continually assessing my teaching, and of using both feedback and assessment to monitor and maximise student learning.
My goals as a tutor are to help students realise their full potential and to provide them with the skills they need to reach that by identifying and bridging the existing the gaps in their learning.
I aim to tailor my lessons to be relevant and interesting to students own passions; creating engaging opportunities which optimise a range of materials and techniques to stimulate inquisition, discovery, learning and comprehension.
A creative and motivated graduate teacher, I am l currently working as a relief teacher and tutor.
I graduated from Edith Cowan Univesity in December 2016 with a Graduate Diploma of Education (Primary). Since then, I have had obtained a diverse range of experience; working with students from a variety of ages, abilities, faiths, cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds. These experiences have enriched my appreciation of diversity and developed my ability to adapt and differentiate my delivery style of the Australian Curriculum to suit unique learning needs.
I am willing to travel to students over 25 kms away for an additional cost of $10 per session.
