I have a creative and flexible approach and have highly developed musicianship, vocal, stagecraft and performance abilities. By setting realistic expectations and using positive reinforcement, I aim to create a fun environment that is conducive to learning for both child and adult alike. I try to instil a sense of pride, responsibility and self worth to help enable each student to succeed and to equip them with tools for further learning.
I hold a Bachelor of Music in Performance, Graduate Diploma of Music, Master of Music Studies (Opera) and Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood Education. I am an experienced teacher of voice, music theory, as well as Primary school music and general classroom and am also available for English tutoring.
If I have to cancel, I will make up the lesson, but if the student cancels within 24 hours without a valid reason, I will not make it up.
I have been a soloist with Queensland Pop’s Orchestra, Central Coast Philharmonia and Northern New South Wale's Amatori choir and ensemble, as well as many smaller concert platforms and Principal as well as Chorus and Ensemble for Opera Australia in a number of opera’s since 2005.
I have experience in teaching Music for Prep to Year Seven, General Classroom for Prep to Year Three, Vocal and Instrumental for Year Four to Year Twelve, as well as various choirs and ensembles.
