Hi, I am a fun, caring and thoughtful teacher. I like to find out about what my students like and don’t like to find a way of teaching that each one will find interesting. I know it’s difficult when you feel that you’re not good at something but together we will find a way! I find that teaching French through games and music is the most beneficial at this stage and helps most children to commit their learning to long term memory.
I am a primary teacher who has dual qualifications in mainstream and special needs sectors. I have been brought up with the French language from a young age because of my family. I am also qualified to teach French at Primary school level. As well as this, my other main interest is language, communication and literacy, with a particular focus on dyslexia. I have lots of exciting activities for over learning that have helped students in the past to progress from early level to first level in both reading and writing.

I have worked at a variety of primary mainstream and education support schools in the UK and WA. My area of expertise is language, communication and literacy with a particular emphasis on dyslexia. I also have a lot of experience and skills working with children with ASD. I like to make learning fun, memorable and meaningful to my students. We will start by building on what you already know and find activities that you enjoy and can recall easily. I am adept at using iPads and other technologies if you prefer this to written tasks.
