My classes are based on interactiveness and a more performance oriented tradition of learning the art. Practical experience matters the most.
The art form in its entirety with theory and practice is taught.
Which in effect involves learning a new language.

Pranav is my guru for tabla. He is exceptionally good and experienced at it. He plays really really well and has been playing since he was a few years old. Although as a student, in my opinion, that's not the key criteria of a good guru. A good guru, in my opinion, should be able to understand your skill and level of expression on the tabla intricately. He must know what you're trying to express with the tabla and give you the guidance you need while simultaneously giving you the space to find your own style and identify with the tabla. It's practically an art in itself. And this guy has got it. I highly recommend Pranav if you're looking to learn the tabla.
