I like to go through content methodically, and in a way that makes sense, time-wise. I start by teaching practicality - the first stepping stones you would need if you were in an actual, face-to-face scenario. Then come casual conversational skills, then you go further into the correct composition of phrases and tenses, then you can begin incorporating even more vocabulary, and more cryptic tenses. I also think it should be made fun! So use dynamic, role-playing type situations to make things more interesting.
I'm a 23 year old Canadian, relatively recently moved to the Sunshine Coast after completing 2 Bachelors of Humanities degrees at the Paris-Sorbonne University. I have over 6 years of experience, both in teaching and working with children or adolescents, and think that there's no greater reward than to be able to impart knowledge to others. Doesn't hurt to do it with a smile, either!
No travel charge unless it takes more than 15 minutes by car to reach there :)
3 years as a teacher in a nursery school (left to go to university)
6 months teaching at a children's gymnastics studio (left because the branch shut down)
1 year working as an actress, entertainer, and events coordinator at a science & discovery centre
5 years tutoring in English and French
I have a DELF C2 diploma (certification to demonstrate fluency in French), 2 Bachelor's degrees from a prestigious French university, and have spent time in France, teaching children. I love the work I do!
