I believe that academic concepts are best learned when they are contextualised to suit individual needs and will aim to present knowledge in such a way that is suited to the student and their learning needs/preferences. My teaching methodology is inquiry based and I will aim to provide guided opportunities for a student to make discoveries and understand concepts through their own engagement and involvement with the learning. In doing this, I must firstly understand the students personality and learning needs and then appropriate the content to enhance individual engagement.
I am currently undertaking a Bachelor of Primary Teaching (Honours) at the University of Newcastle and am in the 2/3 year of my degree. I have a lot of experience working in childcare and after school care positions and am confident in communicating with children of various abilities, backgrounds and personality types. I am confident in performing household duties and preparing dinner, snacks and anything else you might need.
