I’m a London based artist who teaches short courses at Central St Martins. I also teach privately, one to one either in person or by Skype. My specialities are drawing, portfolio preparation, 3d and sculpture. I have taught all age groups from 6 year olds to 70 year olds but mostly my students are preparing for art college. I tailor my tuition to the individual’s requirements, but generally I will take part in the activity myself, so if I’m teaching drawing I will draw alongside my student and discuss our work together which I find creates a comfortable and relaxed learning environment.
I can work with complete beginners who have less confidence in putting pencil to paper, building core skills and those who are more advanced who would like to find new inspiration by experimenting with methods and subjects.
My basic rate for drawing, is £60 an hour. I can provide art college portfolio preparation and mentoring services or sculpture lessons for £80 an hour. Materials cost will be added onto fees.
Rochelle provides drawing lessons to my primary school-aged son. She is an excellent artist and teacher, introducing a variety of concepts and techniques while keeping the sessions engaging and enjoyable. Rochelle’s patience and pleasant demeanor place my son at ease and create an enriching learning environment. I highly recommend her.
I have been teaching for 6 years. I have taught in many different scenarios from large groups of 50 engineers learning freehand sketching, smaller groups on short courses to 30 one to one students some of whom I’ve been working with for years. Among the many students that I have taught many have achieved UAL drawing awards, gained art scholarships for high school and gained places on foundation courses at art college.
