It is of great importance to bring to my teaching a fun, dynamic, safe and meditative practice so that we can establish intelligence, balance and subtlety in our bodies and minds, for when we have these calm qualities of balance, non-violence, harmony, peace and contentment our body simply does not make poor choices in regard to food and sensual intake.
I am very focused on foundational strength and proper alignment. My background in gymnastics has given me a wealth of knowledge in this area. I spent three years coaching gymnastics, so I am comfortable assisting and adjusting students. That being said, I also view yoga as a personal journey and I believe listening to our bodies is the most important thing we can do.

We will first meet and discuss your daily routine over a delicious cup of tea, health state and any injuries you might have to ensure a safe and suitable level of class as well as a preference in style of yoga. I generally teach my students traditional Hatha Vinyasa, Yin (gentle and slow) or a combination of Yin and Yang poses with elements of Ashtanga.

When I guide a class it is for the benefit of those present. I sense intuitively or through small discussion what the physical, emotional and mental needs may be at that particular time. I like to begin with meditation and an intention setting so there is something to focus our energy toward creating.
I will teach differently depending on who I am working with. Yoga and Meditation is all about, 'Self Realization', therefore I will be passing on tools to help one to return to their true nature, while holding space for them to explore their body, minds and souls.

My classes are based on embodied bio-mechanics and can range from gentle, slow Yin-style meditations to more heat-producing Vinyasa Flows, and everywhere in-between! Sequences are inspired by the season, time of day, energy of the student, and phase of the moon.
