To me - teaching English means designing a needs-based course so I address all desired outcomes and relevant competencies, incorporate all learning styles, demonstrate passion and enthusiasm, show respect for all students, give regular encouragement, share useful knowledge, English language 'tips' and undergo practice sessions using a variety of appropriate age-relevant learning and assessment...
I work with each student to learn their strengths and challenges in the area of English, and encourage them with engaging and challenging lessons, helping them to improve their confidence in expressing themselves using both written and oral English.
As a fully qualified English teacher, I have been teaching literacy, English, and Religious Studies for 4 years. In between work in schools, I have been offering private tutoring as well as being involved in not-for-profit group tutoring sessions for primary students. All in all, I love the school that I am in now, and I know what it takes to be a great academic success.
My teaching method is definitely performance based following audio visual techniques and materials. By creating 'situations' I usually start my speaking classes where the learners automatically involve themselves in speaking English spontaneously without any prior preparation at home.
I usually try to develop an understanding of what my students require and then structure my lesson plan accordingly. I am a great communicator and try to build rapport with my students to empathize with their requirements so that I can encourage their growth and development in each step of the way.
My teaching methods are good grammar and punctuation and the ability to speak, learn and listen to what is being said. Will not tolerate time wasters in any way. I am strict and fair and easy going. I stand for true dedication to all that know me.
I can guarantee that my lessons will cater to your ability in addition to being engaging. I value reflective practice, am determined to provide the most suitable methodology to your needs and approach every lesson with a variety of strategies.
I have always approached teaching English to non-English background learners with a strong emphasis on the individual. ~ Listening, speaking, reading and writing are all covered according to the needs and levels of the individual or group. ~ For school children I base tutorials around their current school work, reinforcing and expanding with topics that are of particular interest to the student.
• No conventional teaching class. • Students will lead the class by thinking and doing. • I am the one to offer students assistance and guidelines to help them progress in learning. • I will not tell students each question's answer, insdead, we think and discover together. • You will not simply learn English in my class.
My methodology is to start with what your need and move at your chosen pace.
"Ambition is the path to success. Persistence is the vehicle you arrive in" - Bill Bradley. I think the key for teaching is being persistent with your student and not allowing yourself or the student to give in, because we can do anything we set our minds to. I am organised, friendly, patient, motivated and am willing to help your child to succeed.
I teach by blending my personality with my student's needs and curriculum-appropriate methods. I make sure that the student will be comfortable with me so that he or she will learn without feeling bored and pressured. Lessons should me matched with what the school requires but I make sure that I give my own inputs.
Learning a language is tricky due to several factors influencing it. Vocabulary and grammar are only basics, yet the most important to communicate. My teaching will have a strong emphasis on the above two as well as written and oral communication.
My teaching methodology is based on communication. What I keep in mind is to give comprehensible hints, rather than giving the right answer in the beginning. Therefore, I am willing to accept any ideas from my students as long as they are helpful to others, so do not be afraid of expressing your own ideas.
My name is Luisa and Im a 21 years old ambitious international student attending a sports college (acsf) in sydney as well as westernsydneyuni for 2 units. I offer intense english lessons for students attending primary or secondary school but Im also willing to teach high school students who need to study for their exams.
I conduct classes in the form of group discussions and approach one specific aspect of writing per class, around which a weekly exercise is based. For example, during the week of studying character, we shall be reading certain character centric works, looking at how the writer develops characterization and then diving into a group feedback based exercise about character and its uses in writing.
Engaging the direct method of learning, English is spoken throughout each lesson with a particular focus on the student's aims. IELTS, PTE and standardised testing will be the focus, however this is based on student demand. Classes will include a variety of materials to maintain interest, particularly referencing the student's own sources.
My teaching method is very student centred. Depending on the student/s goal for the lessons the session may be more task based or more dialogue and conversation focussed. My lessons are geared towards those who already have a base in English (even if just a small amount) and are looking to expand their level towards an exam grade.
My primary focus is to understand my students objectives in hiring me for their tuition. Once this is understood, I work with my students to structure a plan around achieving their outcomes. My key strengths include preparing students for: Examinations: IELTS, Cambridge, TESOL, etc. Professional: Job interviews, conferences, speech preparation, presentations, etc.
My teaching method would combine all the methods such as lecture style, group style and activity style which would allow students to earn effectively. I do not depend on one method because it might make the student boring. Therefore, it is important to use materials such as videos, activity sheets, group activities and games.
I believe it is vital to understand all homework/learning problems and be flexible in managing each individuals strengths and weaknesses. I would begin addressing issues regarding concepts and ideas, then work on set tasks or additional work. Each student is different, therefore all lessons would be fixated on benefiting the student to suit their needs.
• Extensive understanding of mathematics concepts and a strong ability to convey information to struggling primary and secondary students • Have done Engineering in Graduation and MBA in post-graduation.
I based my classes according to the students levels and planning lesson and activities based on their preferred learning style and which can make them enjoying the lessons
I am a full time Uni student completing a double major in Socio Legal studies and Asian studies at the University of Sydney. I am a very patient teacher. I have always imagined what it would be like to have a tutor/teacher that is able to tailor their teaching methods to my personal needs and as such have always been of that mindset when I teach others.
I use communicative oral teaching methods to develop your listening and speaking skills, and pattern recognition to teach reading and writing skills. Learn natural conversation skills, or how to write structured essays for university exams. I can teach many aspects.
Classes are fun and dynamic. The student should put everything he/she learns into practice in order to improve. Every skill will be practiced during the class, but we will focus on the students' needs, such as grammar, oral comprehension, listening comprehension, etc.
I am an outgoing and fun person. My classes tend to be like me. I prefer to learn about my students' interests and structure my lessons based on what interests them. I believe learning works best when you have fun doing it so I'll do my best to make sure that happens.
I believe the most effective teacher ensures the subject matter is relevant and applicable to the student's individual needs and environment. I teach with passion and vitality in the hope my students find the learning process exciting and achievable.
My classes are always student-centric and activity oriented, whether that be small conversation groups of writing classes. I believe that the best classes are ones where there's as little actual lecturing as possible. Instead, I think it's important for students to interact with each other and the teacher as much as possible by focusing on group work and activities that require interaction.
I teach in a very fun way. Since science is a complex subject, I make sure that I will start in a very basic topic and I will also make sure that the student will understand it completely before going to the next level of discussion.
