My teaching method is by experience. It varies according to each student's individuality. I know what I'll be teaching but the "how" is determined by the rapport and each student's needs and interests. Each student has a different way of learning, so the method is addressed as soon as I am familiarized with the objectives of each student.
My teaching method , introduction , background , why u wanna learn English , specific things your interested in ,
I am a fun loving teacher who believes that the key to learning, especially in a subject like English, is the open discussion ideas. I have encountered many types of learning throughout my degrees and plan to tailor any lessons to best fit the needs and learning style of any student.
I approach a topic by discussing the background. Once the background is discussed the students are allowed to go through the lesson and give their ideas and opinions. Then it's time for discussion where I conduct the lesson while discussions are held. Finally a marked assessment is done to see the understanding of the students.
My teaching methods are completely dependent on the age group. For everyone that I tutor, I would do a quick quiz at the very beginning of each lesson to see where they are currently at and then move forward with tutoring. I would make sure to understand and work around their way of learning so that they benefit 100% for I teach based on the fact that "Everyone has their own way of learning.
I am a 19 year old Canadian university student studying to become an English teacher. I am geared towards younger students who need help with English- reading, spelling, speaking, etc. I will introduce the lesson material in a creative way in order to make learning as fun as possible. I believe students learn better when they are having fun at the same time.
I am a Brisbane based Mother, Grandmother, business woman and homestay provider to approximately 100 International ESL students to Brisbane both past and present since 2007. I am a Graduate of Communication and Public Relations studies, I have also tutored at TAFE for Adult Community Education in fashion.
My teaching method is to communicate using only English. I believe that the only way to improve a language skill is to constantly use it. During class, students can bring their assessment draft from school and we can fix it together.
I tailor my classes to each specific student, spending time with them to learn how they are best suited to learning. Once I understand their learning patterns, I will be able to ensure they are learning as efficiently as possible.
Mature teacher with a fun attitude to learning - using movement and music to encourage ESL students to voluntarily participate in lessons. The lesson will always start with a warmer exercise which may be a role play, or game geared to the students' level of experience. There will always be a structured focus followed by repetition learning and the lesson will conclude with a refresher.
I am passionate about teaching and working with children and youth. I believe in making lessons a two-way interaction and giving my students as many opportunities as possible to contribute to their own learning. At the same time, I also prefer a systematic approach towards learning and will plan my lesson according to the student's needs.
My teaching methodology uses total physical response learning, using items of personal and cultural relevance, using authentic materials in the classroom such as visuals and teaching props including flash cards, videos and audio (songs and music), encouraging student participation using projects, group work and roleplays, and following student progress through the 5 stages of language acquisition.
My classes are student centered. I base my lessons on students needs and interest. I draw from my own resources, or from student's own materials.
The way I like to teach is by breaking down the questions/problems to a level the student can understand and helping them find the answer for themselves while giving guidence.
My teaching method involves gaging your skill level and formulating techniques that will work best for you. I am patient, relaxed and friendly, and have had two years experience tutoring students in grades 10-12. I have additionally participated in a variety of after-school volunteer tutoring programs such as Homework Help.
I use a variety of techniques and methods to teach since individuals come to class with their own special needs, strengths and weaknesses. I believe that a mixture of EAP/PPP and functional approach can lead to a better result in terms of students performance.
I believe that reading & writing are essential to understanding the complex English language. I think writing about topics you love sparks the fire so I would keep the lessons interesting & fun based on the interests of each individual regardless of age.
I am a patient and understanding teacher. Personally, I learn best by doing, so I encourage all my students to try each technique first-hand. My methods help to build your confidence and guide you to feel independent in speaking, writing, and listening to English.
I base my lessons around the needs of the learner. If it is a conversational class, I engage students to speak for 80% of the time. I am happy to work on writing, reading, listening skills or on grammar, as well.
I am very direct in my teaching style. I believe that the first thing is for the students to be comfortable, relaxed and trusting. I think that if you make mistakes then this is a good thing. You cannot improve without making errors. I try to make it comfortable for the student to willingly make errors and have trust and confidence in me.
I'm reaching out to backpackers, transfer students, and any non native speaker who wants to not only perfect their english, but also appear more professional, learn the do's/don'ts when traveling among primarily English speaking countries, and of course learn local slang and comedy.
I am a full-time uni student currently studying a Bachelor of Creative & Interactive Media, looking to tutor students that are seeking help with the English language, as well as additional help with both pronunciation and comprehension.
Having a wide experience in teaching, I have honed my teaching skills by experimenting different teaching strategies and methods according to the learner's abilities, learning style, and background. I practice student-centered approach where students develop reciprocity and cooperation within the learning environment and respecting each student's diverse talents and ways of learning.
My teaching method is to find out what you don't know, what you need to know, and how you learn. Then I put all those things together and help you to achieve what you need to in your way, in your time.
Encouragement! In my experience, the most common problem native Chinese speaker encounter when learning English is lack of confidence. I try to encourage my students as much as I can to help them overcome this problem.
interactive, using a class room environment to inculcate ideas/ messages into student memory. For instance, i can easily identify when a student is carrying along in the class.
My teaching philosophy is that learning a new language should be engaging from a variety of different ways, as that is the best way to really remember what you learn. This will include traditional methods of reading, writing and speaking, but will also include music, games and interactive materials to feel more confident using your knew knowledge.
I change my method of teaching according to the person. If someone wants to focus more on grammar, I would teach them it more. I try to make lessons interactive, with some videos, images, music, involving the student into the lesson, so they can also practice their speaking.
I am an English citizen. Fluentcy in the English language is critical in a world where the English language is the international language in business, academic studies, in the workforce, and desirable for emigration, college and university entry.
