I specialise in supporting developing literacy and numeracy skills. In addition, I support students in completing set tasks and assessment. I PRODUCE RESULTS with each student tutored. I adopt a three pronged approach: 1. Testing to determine the learning needs of the student 2. Developing a tailored program to suit the needs of the student 3.
I base my teaching on what the learner likes to do,eat,watch or be,so the direction of the lesson is determined by the leaner,and the pace is also determined by the student,i think its only fair that one starts learning to express the things that are most close to them.
In my teaching, I prefer to work with the goals and aspirations of my students in mind. At the same time, I try to ensure that basic concepts and principles are understood thoroughly before progressing to higher levels. Rote, role play and exercises are methods I employ in teaching.
My teaching method is one to one classes. I teach students individually as every child is different and needs attention. Therefore I prefer teaching one to one basis rather than in groups. I prepare students for their exams by making question papers as per syllabus.
Initially, I carry out a needs assessment and my focus is on addressing the relevant needs of the individual student in a communicative and supportive manner. I have had full time industry experience for more than 30 years and bring a wealth of experience and knowledge into lessons. The student in involved in the learning process from the first lesson.
My priority is to make sure students feel welcomed and engaged in all lessons, and that they understand that everyone learns differently. I aim to tailor lessons in a way that works best for your skills, schedule, and way of thinking.
