I currently study Violin at the Conservatorium of MusicI'm skilled at adapting different teaching methods to all students and making them feel comfortable and to be able to enjoy music at any time. I play Piano to guide students in learning and to widen their knowledge in music.
My teaching method is to progress in comfort and inspire self-development. Every student learns for different reasons and enjoys music differently. Music is a diverse and eternal art with so many styles and origins from all over the world.
Our lessons will be tailored according to the direction you wish to take with the violin, whether it be purely for leisure or to learn theory and sit exams. My goal is to teach you foundation skills and techniques in the most straightforward way possible, then build on them so that you can master the music you desire to play.
Since retiring from my position as a university lecturer I am now offering private lessons to violin students at all levels in classical and folk styles, including the AMEB exam syllabus. Learning and refining skills and knowledge is most satisfying and rapid when we are fully engaged in the learning process.

For a beginner student, I start off with the basics and then guide the student through some levelled books, which include pieces that develop valuable skills such as duet playing. Students develop the full range of skills including reading music, listening, and it is important to me that they develop good tone.
