I base my teaching practice on teaching to the students specific interests whilst ensuring links to the curriculum. If a student is interested in what they are learning they are more likely to connect and engage. I have had significant experience with students on the Austism Spectrum as well as other learning challenges. I have worked with over 10 students with ASD.
My teaching methodology is that each child is different so naturally they will learn in different ways too. I like to spend the time to get to know what makes each child tick and learn to the best of their ability.
Each student learns differently and I acknowledge this with different learning techniques to mature working memory, trigger recall, fill gaps in content knowledge and understand new concepts. I approach lessons with patience and work with each student to set a goal that they would like to achieve by the end of our session.
I am a patient teacher and every lesson is set at the students learning pace. My lessons are tailored to fit each student. I can tutor across a number of subjects or focus on one in particular and will structure the lessons so that the student can get into a routine.
i am 22 years old i would love to teach students who have ADD to learn to read. My lesson structure and methods would include reading books and help pronouncing words and sounds properly. My philosophy is to help them feel more confident.
My teaching method is by observations and hands on experience making it fun and easier to understand, my lesson structure is based on an individuals interest and further their learning through that.
Hello, I offer tutors for kids with special needs or any primary school kid who needs extra support. I am 30 years old experienced special education teacher. I focus on building personal goals for my students and give right kind and amount of support them to achieve. My personal goal is to helping individuals to become independent.
I use multi-sensory and interactive teaching methods to help students learn according to their own individual styles. I work 1:1 with students and no two lessons are ever the same. If a student needs help with spelling or reading, I will first find out whether the difficulty is visual or auditory or whether it's a question of having missed out some basic learning foundations.
As a tutor to a person who has difficulties with learning, I believe I have to make a strong relationship with that person first. After communicating and making sure that my student is relaxed, I start my teaching. I begin with asking them questions as I patiently listen to them, while I correcting them if needed.
Hi. My name is Elaine and I am a full-time professional tutor. I can help your child close gaps in reading, spelling, writing and Maths in as little as 10 weeks. I offer online lessons and work with home-educated students. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach Maths and English. - Tell me about your qualifications. I have a B. Ed. (Hons) degree from Reading University.
I think it's important to work as a team and that's why I like to know the goals of each student / client / family and that together we make a plan for the class and what kinds of techniques and methods are going to be most effective. Classes can be individual or in a small group.
I teach clearly and thoroughly with patience and kindness. I instill confidence and teach accordingly to the type of student you are. I also work patiently with ADD and ADHD students. I simply love to teach and love the subject of reading.
I adapt instruction based upon curriculum-based assessments and address individual educational plans and goals to meet the needs of my students. I provide all students with a positive learning experience through verbal praise and encouragement in order to enhance self confidence in their abilities to learn new skills.
I tutor children and act as a guide to helping them understand how they best learn, work, and interact with the world. In doing this, I can support the child and their mind so that they learn what they need to for school and that they fill any gaps of knowledge that will clear up all the confusion. I also teach them how to be emotionally stable, secure, and resilient.
My teaching method is very hands on. I start by taking an interest survey to see what my student is interested in and what they find easy/difficult about the subject(s) I will be teaching them. This allows me to do two things. One, see what my students enjoy and like to learn about. Two, it tells me what their confidence level in the subject at hand, and what they may need to work on.
My instructional methods are based on the same ABA (Applied Behavioural Analysis) techniques used in the classroom, depending on the needs of the student. Due to my work experience, I have a number of colleagues and resources to draw upon after an initial assessment of the students needs, in order to best serve them.
I am a retired teacher/case manager and a Grandma. My grandchildren are the light of my life and I have always loved working with children. I enjoy camping, traveling, movies, reading, cooking, baking and most of all, my family. I Graduated from WSU River Falls with a Bachelor of Science degree (elementary ed. major and music minor).
I work with students to see what their strengths and weaknesses are and I like to work with each student on an individual case by case basis as each student learns differently. I enjoy getting to know students likes and work them into my classes.
I try to tailor my lessons to best fit students' individual learning styles, strengths, and interests. I like to work collaboratively with students and their families to ensure our lessons best reflect the students' needs with classwork, homework and tests.
My teaching methods will be based in part on diagnosis, in part via assessement of how well children can learn, strong and weak areas, teaching study skills and building on current strengths. Teaching methods are based around a variety of modalities (including Kinesthetic) and are solultion focused and aimed on positive growth.
I shape my teaching methods to each child, since every child is unique! I tutor elementary to middle school students, specializing in teaching ADHD and Autistic kids. I use techniques such as engaging in the child's interests and highlighting their strengths in order to improve the areas they need help in.
My teaching methodology provides students the small group setting at home in their own place at their own pace. Providing positive feedback to answer questions and ask question that they would not normally ask for assistance in a traditional class setting.
Especially for younger children, staying focused on something that is difficult can be very tricky. I strive to teach multiple strategies in various subjects to help your child find his/her best learning style that helps them succeed to the best of their ability.
We will work together as a team, learning more every day. Interaction and participation is a must. This theme or topic is one of my favorites in the Education Area, this means that we can have very interesting lessons through research, discussion, etc.
I like to work with students during the initial meeting which is informal to discuss strengths and any areas they feel that they would like to develop and work on. Each session is prepared in advance at the previous session with the involvement of the student. A lot of the sessions involve visual and interactive work in a relaxed and non formal manner.
In my views for every child basic concepts of each and every subject should be very clear.
My teaching methodology focuses on collaboration, strategic planning and intentional goal setting. Parents and students are my greatest partners in an academic relationship. When reviewing IEPs, school agendas and family goals, I want to ensure buy in from all stakeholders and develop tutoring strategies that promote life-long learning and skill replication for the student within the classroom.
My teaching method is based on understanding. It's not necessary that you get a easy topic quickly or you can't get a difficult topic quickly, its all about exploring your limits and i can help you with that. I am more of a friend than teacher if student behaves nice.
As I most enjoy working with K-3 students I use a method that employs learning segments. I find that attention span is not great and in order to maximize my time with students a one-on-one approach is best as I find when students are fully engaged and excited I'm guaranteed that maximum learning potential is being reached.
My teaching methodology is a collection of technology and hands-on activities. The core component depends on assessing where the student is and where he/she needs to grow and delivering the material in various methods that are engaging, age-appropriate, and challenging to be sure student growth and retention is achieved.
