I'm supportive, patient and encouraging. My lessons can be geared toward anyone and everyone wanting to learn Maths and Physics. My teaching method is that I go through the basic idea first, then introduce the formula, then any other helpful information.
Introduction: Introduction of the topic Outline of main issues: Work through series of questions Discussion and analysis: Work through any difficulties and focus on the more difficult questions. Summary: Reassess the that we have worked through and set practice questions for next week.
My teaching method is explaining the theories and methods with the assistance of problems and diagrams as per requirement. I train students in solving problems and answering short answer and free response questions. Special training is provided for tackling multiple choice questions.
Learning maths isn't the same for everyone. Quite often a maths concept might have to be taught, broken down, or explained in a different way, compared to that of the classroom. This can be greatly beneficial to a student, as each person will find it easier to solve a problem or apply a theory, technique or formula in a particular way. This is what i hope to achieve in my lessons.
Currently a 3rd Year Mechanical Engineering Student at the University of Newcastle. Have experience tutoring all levels of maths from kindergarten to the HSC. I'm available most afternoons and the weekends. I run each session based around the type of student they are, trying to adapt my teachings to best suit the person.
I graduated high school in 2016 and would like to tutor maths to students of all ages in high school to set them on the right path towards a band 6 in the highest level of maths they wish to achieve. I will be offering one on one tutoring focusing on exam style questions for high school and HSC Mathematics.
Would be interested to take classes in math fundamentals, Trigonometry and Calculus. Also school physics, data structures and applied sciences. Shall structure the topics based on needs of the student and his proficiency level. Wishing the very best.
I believe the most promising way to learn something is to be practically engaged with the topic, until the student captures and internalises a more abstract idea of it, and is able to extrapolate that to other problems. Therefore, I see my role as a tutor to help the student to find this engagement first, and then to try to help them better understand the topic.
