I can make the topics interesting and am very patient. If a student is struggling, I try to find the right "handle" to use to allow the student to understand the concept. I teach math because I enjoy watching students catch on to a concept. I also enjoy it when a student who did not previously value math, becomes very interested and self-motivated to learn more.
Hello there! My name is Harry Luke and I am an experienced maths tutor who is ready to help you or your child achieve the results that you desire. I teach primary and secondary maths as well as VCE Further maths and unit 1-2 VCE Maths Methods.
Every individual's learning ability is different. So,I asses the student first and then I plan session and approach accordingly. Sometimes, I use inductive and sometimes deductive methods. Also, sometimes I use visual aids to clear the concept properly e.g. to explain fraction I can use cookie's pieces, to explain adjacent angle I can use edge of book .
I like to get to know my students a bit before starting on the actual content as the relationship we build is a huge part of teaching. This also allows me to tailor my approach to ensure that I am helping you in the best way possible. When starting each topic I will ensure that you have learnt the fundamentals for that area before advancing to give you the best possible outcome.
My teaching method is usually 1 on 1, making sure the student is understanding everything clearly and clearing any doubts. I usually use an approach of making them note down everything in my own words so if they have any problem later on, they can refer to notes.
Providing the students the opportunity to challenge themselves and grab the idea or a concept through a range of exciting, stimulating and thought-provoking activities. The collaboration is essential not only for me but also with the students as well; it is only after this experience that we were able to communicate effectively among ourselves.
My teaching methodologies are designing and presenting comprehensive lesson plans to ensure each student is able to understand and retain subject materials. Strong reputation for helping students in preparing and writing research assignments and articles. My objective behind tutoring students is to develop their skills and help them reach their potential through individual attention.
I believe that every child or young people must know what their educational purpose is, students should be the protagonists and capable of demonstrating what they learn, but above all learning must always be in a framework of positive emotions
My teaching method is respectful and considerate. I do not speak rudely to someone if they do not understand something. Although I do not have experience in conventional teaching, I would believe that I approach teaching as exciting and push people to have thirst for knowledge. I do this practically, and constantly use examples, and apply and state every step.
My teaching method will be very systematic and structured. For the first few lessons will be a 'get to know' session, where i will roughly estimate their capabilities and weaknesses. I will plan accordingly to fit their needs for the weaker topics. I will keep up with their institution's pace. I will take note of any incoming quizzes, test or exams to coordinate with their learning curve.
I love mathematics the most, I love how even if you use different methods you end up with the same answers! I have had the chance to teach students of a variety of classes when I was back in Nepal as well as when I was studying in Mississippi. I first gaze students on how comfortable they are with doing problems and then create a plan accordingly.
I vary my teaching method with the kind of student or class I am teaching. I make it fun, interesting and it involves a lot of pro-active participation from the students which equips the students with the knowledge that is not learnt just for the sake of exams but from the point of view of greater learning.
I am very passionate about helping students, my teaching methodology is very easy and always very understanding. I always go with a plan and am very organized. I review topics very carefully and make a clear explanation to help students understand very well.
I give practical and relative examples which many of students find interesting because they can actually relate what they are learning, unfortunately not able to relate maths to real world what makes student scare of mathematics. I like to go module wise but my approach is hard to easy. I chose this approach because the easy hacks I have for complex problems.
I am a hard-working student of Project Management studying at Victoria University. My background is related to Civil Engineer and I enjoyed a lot with this course, because it contains 80% of Mathematics and Physics principles. So, always start with the basic things, then proceed further in details. So, when you know basic, you will really enjoy to go in detail.
I'm a very friendly sort of a guy who likes meeting new people, learning new things and helping out others. In my opinion you should enjoy your studies and don't take it as a burden or stress out. You should be studying in breaks for example take a break of 10 minutes after every hour or so, so that your mind freshens up.
I choose to address student's weak points in their studies and teach in a variety of ways best suited to the individuals learning needs and expertise. I believe that all students learn differently and thus it is important to teach content in a variety of ways to build upon student confidence and ability.
I am a hardworking student who always puts in the time and effort in order to achieve my goals which is what I want to prove to my students - hard work does pay off and will help you achieve your goals. I am very committed and will never give up on a student until they have learnt what they aim to, no matter how long this may take.
Each student is treated differently. I aim to guide the student to unlock/discover their potential. Once the student understands his potential, he'll be tempted to learn more and exploit it. This drives the student to succeed and thrives him with motivation. Planting resilience in the students is the key to my success as a tutor.
I believe that anyone can succeed and I would be perfectly happy to teach a struggling student. I will first try to understand how much you or your child understands and what the expected level of achievement is. I will then go through the coursework and try to help them understand it using whatever seems to work for the individual person.
Graduate who has studied overseas and graduate in accounting in Melbourne. Has covered subjects like trigonometry, arithmetic and algebra. I make teaching methods very easy by giving examples and explaining math more practically so students can grab it more easily and effectively.
I focus on developing skills in students by following a problem solving approach using inductive & deductive methods. I encourage students to use logical reasoning and be expose them to various creative ways of problem solving. I believe in the philosophy that nothing replaces practice & hard work.
My teaching methods are geared towards all types of students, especially those who need extra attention. I like to approach the topic from the basics so that the weaker students are up to speed as well. I believe in practice makes perfect. I like to focus more on solving questions rather than theory. Theory needs to only be understood. In my experience practical experience aids the students more.
One major part of my teaching approach is not acting like I am more intelligent or superior to my students in any way, as what secondary school students can achieve is highly underrated by many people. Not only will I attempt to increase the grades of my students, but I will also attempt to increase their understanding of the how many mathematical concepts can link in with each other.
My teaching method is explaining the curriculum in a passionate and well broken-down way; Showing you the ins and outs of each subject; in addition to providing handy hints on how to improve your performance under test conditions. I also have a plentiful of resources to provide you which shall further enhance the tuition experience.
I am always smiling and try to build a rapport with my students. I have a lot of resources and try to make sure that my students strive to do better, even if that means going from a fail to a pass. I like to start my lessons with any work the student has problems with, followed by a few questions and examples of current/future work. Then I always like to finish off with timestables.
As am studying my masters now currently, I can think in student perspective very easily & I can deliver good tips and tricks as a tutor & I can clear all basic doubts what a normal student has, which can elevate a student knowledge to the appropriate level.
My teaching Method is practical method. I love to solve a problem in many ways. I will teach what i learnt.
Hands on approach to Simultaneous equations, what factors affect what coefficients will be sorted in just a few simple steps Quadratic Equations will be solved faster than ever Algebra not so unknown now, Statistics made fun with numbers Geometry and trigonometry no longer beyond your brains
I believe student should read the topic before tutorial, it does not matter whether they understand the topic or not. Reading is important just to get familiar with the topic. It is the job of the tutor to make them understand and simplify the topic by using several examples or relating the topic with some applications in practical life.
