I usually prefer to focus on communication, more than on grammar ... but if you have to prepare a B2 you will have to have solid foundations of this too! ;-) Depending on your level and needs, in my classes I usually use different "real world" material such as articles, videos, etc. apart from the more traditional didactic material.
The communicative approach is the most suitable to develop skills when it comes to learning languages. Develop skills in each skill, reading, writing, speaking and listening to be competent when trying to communicate.
My teaching method is based on clearing the concepts first and then I start with the practical application of the topic followed by homework and other interactive activities. My teaching style is also based on the Student's aptitude and their Knowledge.
I base my lessons depending on how much the student knows. I will approche the knowledge required to the level by theory with some exercises for writing and listening, and for speaking (with special emphasis on pronunciation) we will do speaking activities and games which are going to be useful to leran new vocabulary.
I have a structure that serves as a guide, but it is only the basis, what I am looking for is to adapt to the students' way of learning, so in the first classes I take note of the learning process of each person and, based on what I already have prepared, I modify the way I teach. I am looking for many conversations and activities that involve critical thinking.
For it to be fun and accessible for people of any age or level to develop or improve their language skill. As a teacher my teaching strategy is to make activities tailored to my students interests for the students to be approachable and feel comfortable and confident to study.
I teach Spanish based on the idea that we learn by association and repetition. My classes are mostly conversational. I encourage the student to learn grammar and to do written and listening activities at home that then we can practice during our sessions. I also use listening and reading resources that enhance their knowledge of the Hispanic and Latin American culture while they learn the language.
Lesson plans will be adapted to students' needs.
I would like to give lessons to individuals. My characteristic as a tutor is to help out and make students ambitious without giving up. I got my experience from school, lessons and family. i am a Spanish tutor for my younger brother.
My methodology in language teaching is based mainly on practice. When the class is with a group, I encourage students to work in pairs in pairs and they work individually the less the better. In terms of individual classes I try to focus on the weakest points of the student and I try to focus the class on trying to improve them.
Each student is a world, so I adapt to them, not only in time and displacement, but I analyze what is the problem that has, in which you need to deepen or review more, I put exercises to measure. To learn a language, the most important thing is to talk and do entertaining classes.
I am interested in respecting the way of learning of each student, and I take as a basis for what are they studying this subject, in order to make the most of each session and apply their knowledge in daily life.
I have a flexible approach. If you are already taking a course and need some help, if you want to start with a basic level I can teach you, if you want to practice conversation and listening skills, if you need help with translations English-Spanish-English, if you want advance support with more specific topics, etc.
Basically, I will send you some texts and I will read them for you and then I will like you to read them for me, that's how we will practice both listening and speaking. I will send you songs in spanish so you can try following the lyrics.
I will be able to create individual lesson plans that suit each student thanks to my TEFL qualification. I use a very structured approach to learning in order to avoid confusion. Each lesson will begin with a recap of the last and I will not advance to the next topic until the student is confident in what I have taught. The classes will focus on reading, listening, speaking and writing.
I am happy teaching any level of student and like to tailor my classes to best suit the individual. I believe that learning should be fun and I try my best to create material to keep students engaged an encouraged at all times.
I'm capable of teaching at any level. Usually the lessons contain a part of grammar, vocabulary, conversation and other kind of activities to make the process funnier and enjoyable. All depends on how the student wants to get involved. We can structure a lesson in many ways.
DARE TO FALL IN LOVE OF SPANISH ...
I like to make learning fun.
Many foreigners want, more than to learn a perfect Spanish, to know and confront Latin American literature. With some of my students we have taken different courses, countries and authors, according to their tastes. I am interested in motivating Spanish from literature and cinema to not only learn from a language but from a culture.
I bring a fresh, professional, honest and respectful approach to teaching, encouraging individuals to fulfil their learning goals and maximise their potential while they feel at ease. I easily empathy with my learners, classes are lively and communicative based on learner's interests.
My classes are aimed at people who have any level of Spanish, I focus on the particular needs of each student to make the most personalized classes. For expression and writing classes, I like to propose projects with topics that attract the attention of students. I am always open to suggestions or doubts.
My classes are divided into 2 parts: the theoretical and the practical. In the theoretical I explain the basic rules of the language and in practice I teach the student how to use them. I also inculcate my students to be self-taught so that they understand how to learn and improve on their own. I like to give classes to students of intermediate and advanced level.
I base my classes on the personal motivations and needs of each of my students. For instance, if a student loves reading, I will use excerpts from different books and literature in general as a way to engage him in the class. I always ask my students about their interests and passions, so we can apply them to the Spanish lessons.
Would you like to improve your Spanish skills? Would you like your kids to learn a new language? Or maybe learn for business/travel purposes? I offer Spanish tutoring lessons, personalised to your needs, for either kids or adults in Birmingham City Center.
I like to teach students based on interesting facts that are going on in the world by having reading comprehensions of blogs, about travelling in Spain or Latin America and setting homework based on qualities relevant for the exam that my students need to prepare for.
I choose a lesson plan and incorporate several things such as vocabulary. This helps students understand what they are reading. It also helps students to spell and pronounce words correctly. The repetitive reading will help develop these skills as well. I ask questions about the story and they have to summarize the story afterwards. This will help the student (s) with reading comprehension.
My method is contextual, I teach the language at the same time that I teach the social and historical context of our country about everything related to the peace process with the FARC-EP, in this way the student is immersed in the language and culture at the same time. the classes have 3 moments: vocabulary and pronunciation, exposure and conversation.
My classes focus on the development of the four key language skills: speaking, writing, reading and listening. However, I put special emphasis on the development of the oral skills by promoting interactive activities.
