I am a trained Primary School teacher who loves teaching literacy through integration with HASS and Science topics. I also enjoy creating exciting and relevant lessons to teach maths and digital technologies. My lessons are designed to fit with the student's needs and interests.
I believe in the power of peer-to-peer education. I use my age as an advantage, to empathise with the experiences of my students, and to make them as comfortable as possible. At times, studying can be stressful and overwhelming - and I get that! That's why I make sure my sessions are as interactive and fun as possible, using a range of activities and constantly checking in with my students.
My teaching method will include patience and a set of fun and knowledgeable exercises that can help the student understand the context of the specific subject. My method will also include communication between the student and me. Lastly, my Psychology course relates very well in terms of child development and learning which will benefit my student and including myself.
I am a friendly and passionate teacher who truly cares about making a difference to my students' education. It is important for me to develop a clear line of communication with the parent and student, and (where possible) to include input from the classroom teacher in order to make the most from our tutoring sessions, ensuring we are all working toward to the same goal.
My teaching method is finding out what your wants and needs are, and working with that.
I encourage my students to enjoy and understand what they are learning as opposed to simply remember content. I apply a range of teaching styles to suit my students and like to 'show' rather than 'tell', to create a more interactive environment.
My teaching methodology would be highly dependant on the students needs and learning style. However, in general my approach would be systematic with a combination of practical and theoretical lessons. I personally find a varied teaching experience more fullfilling for the majority of students. For example: use of a standard text, quizzes, painting, flash cards, cartoons, field trips, etc.. etc.
My teaching method focusses on identifing and working on the student weaknesses, making him/her aware of the improvements to increase the interest s/he has in the subject, generating better and genuine results. The lesson's goals are aligned with the school objectives.
One-on-one or small group tuition allows me to quickly identify and target academic issues. Many teachers and tutors will patch the problem and just put a bandaid on a sceptic wound. Academic issues are often caused by a lack of understanding of basics therefore, I like to go back to the beginning and sure up all the foundations, which allows for stronger understanding.
I am a friendly and passionate teacher who truly cares about making a difference to my students' education. It is important for me to develop communication with the parent and student in order to make the most from our tutoring sessions, ensuring we are all working toward to the same goal.
Having taught in school programs for students with learning difficulties I use a variety of teaching methods depending on the individual learning style.
“The only truly educated person is the person who had learned how to learn” - Carl Rogers As an educator I have embraced this saying from the first day I decided to become a primary school teacher. Despite my tertiary qualifications I have found that my best tutors have always been my students and believe that they have as much to teach me as I do them when it comes to learning.
I approach the topics by breaking down into points, making comparisons through illustrations or drawings, discussion, and questioning. The lessons are structured as point notes and drawings where the student finds it easy to grasp. Homeworks are assigned for practice.
My method of teaching has always been to provide real life examples in relation to the curriculum work. Using students' current activities has also helped them connect with the content. Having students use paper work and a mixture of hands-on activities has connected the work and shown that each student has their own areas at which they excel.
I am able to teach academic analysis techniques and critical thinking. I can teach essay writing, and academic argument formation. The lesson would be tailored to your understanding and perception. The lesson has to be custom built to the individual.
I take a holistic approach with my students, there are many reasons why learning can be difficult. I get to know them and make sure I connect with them so that we relate to each other well.
I beleive in every student being provided with the best possible exposure to education and learning. It is my belief that others should be exposed to the same opportunities as i have been lucky enough to have been provided with. My lesson structure is very much based on the students preferences, in order for them to get as much from each lesson as possible.
As a teacher I focus on developing intrinsic motivation in students by providing positive feedback and setting appropriate challenges. I focus on a combination of direct instruction and discovery based learning to help students learn new concepts and apply them correctly in a range of situations.
I prefer to teach based of the Socratic method or question based to provide a more holistic learning experience. In overall learning, I will be moving at a pace that suit the students ability, preferably helping them get a head start into the next year.
I provide hands-on learning experiences. I use engaging tools and resources during my lessons. I encourage students to think and explore. My lessons are very engaging and allows students to have some fun while learning. I aim for all my students to achieve success on their own merit. I will meet with your children and plan lessons according to their individual ability.
My teaching methodology uses the student's current curriculum to gauge their progress and make note of difficulties. This results in tailor-made sessions which address specific concerns and allows the student to learn their coursework and progress at an accelerated rate.
One to one, I work to build foundation facts and fluency to develop student confidence by giving them established structure.
My teaching method is mostly one on one, I can use both technology, and verbal communication. I have no issues in teaching the way you prefer, I like to explore new ideas and we can compromise.
Hello! I was Head Girl at my school, and am a successful, passionate, fun and responsible teaching student at Curtin University. I understand the demands of school and have a genuine interest in other people’s success. I love mentoring, tutoring and inspiring youth to reach their potential. I believe students cannot learn without a positive and strong connection with their teacher.
My teaching method is focused on equipping students with a strong understanding of core concepts, enabling them to approach questions that they will be asked under test conditions. Therefore, my lessons are individually tailored around areas of difficulty & preparing students for assessment tasks.
I base my classes on first on gaining insight into the students understanding of a topic, so that I know which areas to focus on when explaining a concept or theory. Then with the student I would work through the content with them to ensure they fully understand.
I believe every child is different and therefore requires a different approach. I am very open minded and flexible with my teaching methods with the foundation being I build a strong repour with the child and focus on ways in which I can get the best out of them in all areas of life.
I base my teaching method on the individual student. Everyone has a different way of learning, and I try accommodate the individual student's needs. My tutoring is best suited for struggling High School Students or Undergrad University Students. I have a friendly, caring and patient approach to teaching, and aim to boost the student's confidence in themselves.
I tend to encourage my students to be able to work autonomously as well as in a group environment. I teach mainly through demonstration and facilitation. My believe if a student can solve a problem with minimal assistance it increases self-confidence and fosters a love for learning.
My teaching method depends on the student and studies they undertake. I am strict with pre reading and homework for progression of the students learning. Problem solving is a priority as well. However, Im easy going person and flexible to accommodate. Example of the first lesson I would introduce myself and ask the current level and situation of the student (why they wanted a tutor).
