Lessons are orientated towards developing confidence in abilities through practise, theory and revision. A typical lessons may involve curriculum work, language practise, practise theory and assignment editing / support and exam preparation techniques. Lessons are adjusted for ability and goals.
I have experience with both University and School institutions. I love teaching and seeing my students achieve! I like to try and relate to my students, everyone is different and has their own strengths and weaknesses.
My teaching methods are focused around individual students, first ascertaining what it is that they need to focus on, and working on those areas in a way that is most effective for their learning style and helps them achieve their goals. I often use guided exercises to help a student discover things for themselves, as I find this is the most effective way of cementing knowledge.
My teaching method involves understanding the student's goals, and tailoring the lesson to suit their current needs/upcoming assessment tasks at school. This may involve workshopping an essay, or creative writing piece, to analysing prescribed to texts, to helping construct multimedia assessments.
My teaching method depends upon the student and what their goals are. From there i will develop a study plan that works towards these goals. Additionally, as literature is a passion of mine i approach the subject with enthusiasm, and will hopefully help a student discover something they find truly interesting within the discipline.
SHOW THE CHILD THE WAY, EXPLAIN THE STEPS AND THEN LET THE CHILD FIND HIS OWN WAY, WITH YOU ALWAYS STANDING AT THE BACK GIVING YOUR FULL SUPPORT AS AND WHEN REQUIRED.
I support school students in areas requiring assistance- allowing them to work at their own pace, ensuring they thrive and improve. My structure of lessons is dependant on the individual and their needs- this requires an additional 30 mins for first session in order to identify the individuals learning needs and build rapport.
My teaching methodology is firm, but gentle. I believe in reformative practices, and continuous reporting. I value a growth mindset.
I am to stem my lessons from what the teachers have students working on, or areas that a particular student needs a bit of added help. I am happy to assist in research, writing essays or other assignments, and editing essays (for English and History specifically, but I may also be able to assist in other subjects).
I am 38 and I am best suited to children from 5 to 11 years of age. I have years of experience with children struggling at school and finding homework difficult. I have a degree and love working with children.
I aim to support the child in line with their classroom teacher and provide supplementary learning when gaps are identified. Where possible I would provide practice as part of games or enjoyable activities. I always attempt to appeal to a child’s interests and creativity.
I allow my students to take the wheel on where they want to go and what they want to do with each session. I work with students to concentrate on grammatical aspects and suggest ideas in relation to essay writing and reports. All tutoring sessions will be tailored to the students' needs. I am offering to draft work online or meet in person at the Adelaide City Library.
I base my approach on what is the objective. I build smaller goals based on that objective, and attain it one at a time. Though time is of the essence, I believe that when learning is concerned, it is best for it to take time. If an approach doesn't work, I don't force it. Instead, I try a different way.
I am more than happy to work with the various needs of all students, whether it be working through assessment pieces, improving reading comprehension, or improving literacy skills. My lessons will cater to the present needs outlined by the student and/or guardian.
I work best with children up to year 12 and young adults assisting with resumes and cover letters. I will listen to the childs problems with learning and work around what they are having issues with. I work with creating a new way for them to retain the information.
My teaching philosophy is centred on understanding. My belief is that if a student has the proper groundwork in place, they can achieve anything! Hence, my focus tends not to be on just completing a specific assignment or essay but on a deeper comprehension of texts and questions.
I am very patient- and take pride in structuring engaging lessons - all kids learn differently so am accommodating to each individual
I invest myself into each student, and recognise each student learns differently, thus ultimately I aim to discover which method of teaching works best for the student and work with them in that manner. Regardless, with all my students i am assisting them to produce work that they 1. would have enjoyed writing, 2. work that will succeed in a marking scheme and 3.
I enjoy working one on one with students, focusing our work on their particular needs in the area of literacy. I work mainly with younger primary students and focus on improving literacy as a means to improve all other areas of learning. Lessons often include a revision of phonograms and the application of spelling rules in English.
i am generate toward high school and primary school migrants. my lesson structure would loook like reading from a esl book and/or a english ielts book.
My teaching method focuses on building and maintaining positive and respectful student-tutor correspondence in order to provide effective guidance and support in literacy, composing texts, academic writing and secondary education English studies and other areas of academic need.
-I am a very warm individual, so lessons with me will not be like your school lessons! I aim to support, relax and assist my students with their studies by easing stress and calmly and patiently working with you. -I am heavily resource-based.
I've always been a very personable teacher, one who is very approachable and easy to get along with. Students can be relaxed in my presence and they shouldn't feel pressured or anxious about making mistakes. We all make mistakes and that's how we learn and improve.
I like to use an interactive approach and work closely with what the student is leaning at school. I provide help with homework.
I as an educator know that student engagement is the key to learning retention and having a great overall classroom experience. With changing times, education requires adaptation and evolution. Students are not as easily captivated as before by simple colourful animations in textbooks and monotonous songs to correlate with learned concepts.
My teaching method is very personal with the student. I like to discuss what works best for them and what doesn't. To begin with a discussion on how to approach a task enables us to plan for success. The core subjects I am confident in are English, History and Maths. However, I am very happy to discuss any other subjects or tasks.
I am a kind and compassionate person, who enjoys helping others in their learning and understanding of a subject. I have no set lesson plan, as I would prefer to design one based on a students abilities and current circumstances.
My methodology is largely inquiry-based, supported by strong knowledge and understanding of traditional educational practices. ( Though I promote and facilitate personal expression, I value accuracy of grammar and spelling.) I make use of formative assessment throughout the learning process.
I am passionate about play based learning in which focuses on children's interests to help develop further knowledge. My lessons will focus on the Big 6 of learning to read and write. I will develop lessons individualised to your child's unique needs. The professional development I have engaged in has focused on developing literacy skills, please see my CV for further details.
I like to take a fun and direct approach to learning where learning is achieved at a pace which is applicable to the student. Each student learns in a different way and I believe that having patience and understanding with students about the way they learn is key in them moving forward and developing a deeper understanding.
