My teaching methodology is adapted specifically to the different needs & learning styles of individual students - everyone learns & processes things differently! This forms the core aspect of my approach, and this tailored methodology accelerates and expands the developmental potential of each individual.
I have teaching methods designed for beginner to intermediate students of all ages. I believe anyone can learn to love music and I am happy to bring this passion to any age or ability level. I teach with a range of techniques and methods, for younger students using colours to represent notes and fun activities to remember what they have learnt.
The BEGINNERS PIANO lessons I give are suitable for young children and any age who are searching for their musical talents and interests in the musical field. It gives children and parents a taste of some piano learning experiences that could possibly discover their own individual interest.
My classes are based on teaching the students in a way that they are not bored. Making a friendly relation with them and also including a latest hit song based on that days lecture teaching. It helps you to stay away from depression and anxiety.
I am motivated and passionate and would like the opportunity to share my passion with somebody that has a likewise interest in Piano. My method of teaching is to first immerse the student in the fun part of music through listening, copying, singing, creating and exploring before we do anything to do with reading or writing music.
Although my main focus is on classical pieces and techniques, I am also interested in other musical genres such as pop, playing simple pop songs by ear, as well as theory and aural. This is applicable for those who have and have not played the piano or take courses and those who wants to play just for fun.
I am willing to teach and provide my students with help for school music, piano, theory and violin. Every lesson, Aside from playing the instrument, I will run through a series of aural tests and theory work with my student every lesson to get them ready for examination.
My teaching method is starting with a presumed knowledge lesson, my classes are split in two, first is theory then practical.
I believe that practice makes perfect and that is exceptionally true in music. However, I believe that time is also needed for musicality to develop within the individual. Hence, patience is required. For my lessons, I will generally teach basic theory initially and followed up by assessment of the assigned repetoire. I also do basic singing lessons.
I am a lover of nature and the Arts and my teaching philosophy is all about communicating beauty and expression in music. My pedagogy focuses on helping students become artistically expressive and technically proficient. The joy of understanding and playing beautiful music will enrich your life, develop the brain and enhance wellbeing. I am able to teach all ages, stages and genres.
My teaching method is is two pronged. Firstly, I like to give my students an understanding of chords and how they fit into a song from a theory and a practical point of view. This stems from my years of guitar playing. Secondly, I like to get my students playing simple melodies, playing from sheet music and playing by ear. Then WHAM - we join these two together.
My teaching method contains exercises for neck and vocal muscles, breathing exercises, as well as perfecting vocal techniques. I can also teach sight reading and ear training if the student and parents wish for me to.
When teaching students piano my goal is to encourage enthusiasm and passion for music by making the learning fun. I provide students with hands on opportunities to engage with content.

Lessons are aimed towards beginner music students. Lessons are very flexible. You can bring in any new music pieces and I will help you learn it. I can also help with scales, fingering as I have completed technical finger work in my music degree.
I base my lessons to suit the learning style of the student and their abilities. For example if the student I vey practical, I wont write things down for the to constantly keep reading and I wont teach a beginner something an expert would be learning.
My teaching idea is learning with fun. Students will learn how to play the piano as well as analyse different period of classical music by learning music theory. Basic keyboard skills, visual play, singing, listening skills and the ability to appreciate different period's piano music are taught.
I like using a peer to peer method of teaching, meaning mostly I will be talking with the student rather than talking to the student. I Speak about a specific topic/terminology then I explain it using a local example, then give the student a chance to say how best they interpret it.
The lessons are tailored for the student's needs. To maximise the student's potention. The lessons are planned and reserved for the student for minimum 30 minutes. The student and teacher set a goal for student and Suvi helps them reach it in a period of time.
My degree in education allowed me to use various strategies to approach lessons depending on student age and ability. For example, for younger learners, I scafold lessons in sevearl steps. I always encourage students with positive words. I also include aural/theory practices, music appreciation and general knowledge during lessons to provide a broader view in music for students.
I learn best by a combination method of hearing the song for rhythm, and reading the song for technique. Whether you or your child wants to learn to play using emotion as the foundation or impressive technique, we can work on that.
My teaching method is student centred, with the lessons based around how the student prefers to learn and what they want to get out of piano lessons. I focus on having a solid foundation of music theory as well as a good technique.
I want students to have fun and be able to learn something new constantly. I think music should be enjoyable, and used to gain skills which can be utilised in a variety of ways.
I have recently completed my HSC in 2018 and I am looking to tutor in my area, as I am interested in helping current students achieve their personal academic goals.
I prepare students who wish to study for leisure and also for both AMEB exams and Trinity College exams. I have studied Suzuki as well as Montesorri and incorporate these methods into my pedagogy.
Everyone is different, therefore the way everyone learns is different.
My teaching method is systematic, but open to adapt to the students grasping ability.
I teach children and adults the love of music with proven results, excellent technique, and my understanding of each student helps bring out the best of their possibilities, and enjoy music. I focus on giving the student confidence in his/her abilities. I can prepare students for exams as well.
