Hello I am a qualified nurse who enjoys teaching both beginning and more advanced level to my students. My teaching methods are adaptive and usually include a combination of visual, reading, audio and most fun of all demonstration. I am vey patient and proactive and my students enjoy their lessons. First we must identify how you learn and proceed from there.
My teaching method is with the use of pictures, diagrams and more pictures! Most of my notes consist of hand-drawn diagrams and lots of colours. But if colourful pictures aren't your cup of tea, the lesson would accommodate your style of learning, whatever it may be! The lesson structure would be based on what you are struggling most with first, then refining the rest of the syllabus.
My lessons are fun and engaging. I always start my lessons with a 5 min chat with the student, to get to know how they are and what they have been up to, in and out of school. I then ask them what they would like to focus on, if they have any concerns or questions. I then go on from there.
I am extremely passionate about teaching. I provide a learning environment that encourages questions, ignites curiosity and fosters love for the natural world and environment. I am very patient with solving a student's doubt. I make sure that each student gets to learn at his/her pace. I make sure that every students gets equal attention, irrespective of learning abilities.
My teaching method is quite casual as to help form a relationship with the student so they are more engaged and find their work more enjoyable. I don't like it when study feels like a chore and I would love my students to feel the same passion for their study as I do.
Studying should be enjoyed, and I will ensure you get the results your looking for - provided you are willing to put in the effort and dedication. My lesson structures are determined by you and what you aim to achieve during our time together.
I am naturally curious about life, I find questioning my learnings, teachings, and philosophies one of the best ways to obtain clarity as well as to constantly learn and grow. My lesson structure is centered around what the student's goals and objectives are, why the need to learn a certain field and how best to aid them in their learning journey.
I am a very organised and approachable person, so I will shape my classes around you and what you need guidance with, and then acquire the materials needed to create an engaging and educational lesson. I am an enthusiastic and energetic person, so I love keeping my sessions interactive and stimulating.
I like to tailor what I do to the student I am helping. No one is the same and therefore it is not appropriate to apply the same way of teaching to everyone. Some students require simple explanations while others prefer large drawings that depict concepts. Whatever it is that helps you learn, I can do it.
I approach a topic by going over the basics and then building upon them. I believe a lot of frustration with learning is being overwhelmed and feeling lost. Starting with the basics means you can easily build upon them and students don't close down. I also think learning should be fun, I like to incorporate videos and discussions into my teaching as I know not everyone learns the same way.
My priority would be the student. First when the student contacts me I would like to get to know everything the students wants to know and have a doubt on. And I would prepare myself accordingly and would and deliver the lesson the way the student and I both would be comfortable.
My method of teaching stems from my experience as a student at university for 6 years as well as working in laboratories under doctoral's, therefore I have found in my experience, I learned better when large blocks of information was disseminated into granular forms with real-life examples to correlate along with what I was expected to learn.
Rigueur, High quality mentoring. I will deliver high quality tutoring. I have more than 4 years experience as a tutor in Biological Psychology at the University of Newcastle.
I believe that interest in the subject being taught is most important, with its difficulty being fairly irrelevant, to a student who loves what they're studying. I take advantage of my contagious passion for biomedical science to enhance the students learning experience and academic performance.
My teaching method is largely based student-centric and performance oriented. I believe each student has his or her own way of learning things and the best way to teach is to understand their requirements and adapt my teaching skills accordingly.
Each child learns in a different way. In order to assist in the learning process it is important for me to identify a student's learning style so that tuition can be tailored to the specific needs of each student. In this way problem areas can be addressed both timeously and effectively.
I like to tailor my lessons to the student, and am flexible in this regard. I am a fan of problem-based teaching, where I not only teach theory to students but also work out problems and think about situations with them.
I'm a student doing a Bachelor of Health Science Degree, majoring in Naturopathy. I'm passionate about health and am fascinated by how perfectly designed everything in nature is, including the human body. I have confidence in my knowledge of the human body and I aim to ignite the same passion I have for this subject, within my students as well.
I am student who is currently pursuing her Master in Public Health. With a strong background in Health sciences, my lessons are focused towards in-depth biology and chemistry as required by the Victorian curriculum.
I have completed my Master and PhD at degrees at Australian Universities and a postdoc in Denmark. I would like to give science lessons for school, TAFE and University students and share my knowledge and experience. Flexible times and home visits.
My teaching method is really about addressing areas where you're not 100% confident- tutoring is discussion based and relaxed.
I believe the formula for teaching lies within understanding the student and where they struggle. Therefore, I would work toward identifying the students strength and weakness and developing an effective and constructive work plan to overcome this.
When working on my Masters degree in physiology, I taught various courses in human physiology, anatomy, biology and nutrition at the university level for 2 years. I have also tutored privately for 4 years (both at the high school and university level).
In my 9 years tuition career I have seen students with weakness and fears in subjects, I tried my best to make the subject fun to them- by giving them easier example of our surroundings they can remember, by showing them videos and pictures. I always tried to make them understand the basic of that particular knowledge and i loved to watch them growing strong and doing well.
I like to break down major topics into smaller ones, especially by making dot points within sub categories. I also like using videos to explain topics when I think they are better described using illustrations, for all highschool students.
Easy going Relaxed enviroment I teach by using my own experiences I offer tips and tricks to make the harder topics more approachable I break my lessons down into small segments which allows students to focus on one small area in detail at a time instead of being overwhelmed by the topic as a whole.
My teaching methods compromise on focused learning tailored according to the individual needs and requirements of students.
I love Biology and its related fields of study. Nothing excites me more than the opportunity to help someone else love Biology as much as I do. This is what I will aim to be doing. While focussing on the student's exams and assignment requirements I aim to get them excited about the Biological Sciences.
I have experience teaching or tutoring: Biology- up to undergraduate level Chemistry- up to year 12 Maths- up to year 10 English- Up to year 10 Writing assistance- up to undergraduate level Japanese- Up to intermediate level I don't believe in one teaching style. Each student is different, and depending on the subject, will need a different approach to learning.
I am a very visual learner myself so I like to use a lot of simple diagrams to explain topics students find difficult.
