I base my teaching method on first identifying where a student is at in their course, and what they struggle with. With that in mind, I would structure my lessons so that I can work with the student through initial practice questions in that area.
My teaching method is purely base on direct instructions which also includes using Electronic devices to demonstrate an idea and also using games to learn and understand the basics. I try to give more and more exercises because I believe a student understands the concept only if he/she can solve the problems.
My teaching philosophy is encourage students to doubt, question, think and explore. I want them to begin understanding the process of scientific thinking rather than learning definitions without context to real data.
My teaching method is breaking down the topic to its fundamental sections and teaching each with careful explnations, making sure to relate each section to others. Each lesson will be started with a revision from the previous week content so that each of the topics will have a clear relation to each other.
I like to teach every student according to their specific needs, spending an equal amount of time on their strengths and weaknesses. I try to give real life examples to help the student better understand the concept, and create a curious and interesting environment.
I base my classes mostly on helping you to understand the essence of the concepts and then will want you to apply them wherever needed to solve problems. I've always been a person who gives little or almost zero importance to practicing problems and I believe that every student is capable of solving any problem on a given concept with a good understanding of the basics.
During the first lesson, we ll go through the topic to see what are the difficulties encountered. The following session are based on hands on exercice. The student will be ask to be actif and to perform short homework based on reviewed topic that had been dispensed.
Teaching method can vary from one student to another, just like mathematical equations. I will always have an alternative method for solving one question. According to my point of view, it is always better to have individual lesson instead of the group for students who have difficulty in understanding.
I teach by using illustrations, examples and comparisons so a student can understand the logical development of concepts they are learning. I am interested in helping students who wish to have a deeper understanding of the fundamental principles of the sciences.
My method starts with finding out where a student sits, and what level of knowledge/aptitude they need to reach in order to succeed in a subject. Next, I tailor a learning plan based on the students knowledge-set and confidence, with a focus on addressing any fundamentals that a student is struggling with or not understanding perfectly. The reason for focusing on fundamentals is two-fold.
I emphasize fundamentals and theoretical principles using relevant examples and industry cases. I augment this with problem-based and project-based teaching. I also use case studies to highlight how problems are formulated and optimal solutions are evolved based on individual case needs.
My teaching methodology is very direct. I believe in breaking down problems into a linear series of steps that anyone can work through, followed by repeated practice. My lessons are usually focused on a single topic (solving a difficult equation, writing a lab report etc) and are structured; a method, an example, practice and finally review.
I am Brisbane based and close to the CBD. I can run face to face lessons at the University of Queensland with chemistry lab tours! I have taught mostly laboratory based chemistry as well as workshops and tutorials. I am passionate about chemistry and helping students understand the wonders of how our universe functions.
I tailor my teaching style dependent on the student, normally after assessing their understanding of topics and work ethic over the period of a term. In general, I aim to be at least 1 week ahead of what is being taught in class, so the actual school class is a refresher of the content we learn in the tutoring lesson.
focus on desired learning outcomes for students, in the form of knowledge, understanding, skill and attitudes; assist students to form broad conceptual understandings while gaining depth of knowledge; encourage the informed and critical questioning of accepted theories and views; develop an awareness of the limited and provisional nature of much of the current knowledge in all fields; see how...
My method of teaching focuses on conceptual learning. I believe that I concept that is well understood, stays with you for life. I dont rush on my topics and make sure that student learn at their own pace, that would increase, as we work together.
I am an open person who encourages higher secondary students at various stages in the curriculum to be inquisitive and instill the understandings of subject matters in my students, as such I motivate them to arrive at the working methodologies. As a tutor I believe it's my duty to help them get to the answer rather than just provide answers and do their homework for them.
I am passionate about teaching high school students who require guidance in Mathematics (Geometry, Trigonometry, Algebra, Algorithms, Arithmatics etc. ) and Physics. Moreover, all the Civil Engineering related subjects to Engineering undergraduates in the Universities. Additionally, I am willing to extend my support for assignments and tutorials too.
I understand that no two students learn the same. As a tutor, i love to give the students an opportunity to learn via a range of methods, including: direct instruction, open discussion, visual images, videos, writing etc. After a few sessions, i usually am about to gauge which method works best for each student, and will try to impliment that method as much as possible.
I try to understand the student and what they are struggling with. Each individual thinks uniquely so an effective tutor will understand how each person processes information and adapt their teaching methodology accordingly. I will endeavour to understand the situation that is specific to you.
My approach to tutoring is identify weakness or gaps in understanding the subject matter. Lessons are then conducted in a participatory manner where the student does the work under guidance. These begin with very simple examples and progress to greater complexity. Students are also shown how to self check their work.
I am an 18 year old Year 12 graduate from Hale School and my tutoring lessons are suited to any level of learning from Year 12 ATAR and below. My lessons will differ depending on the needs and knowledge of the student. I can teach pure content to help the student catch up or get ahead of their class.
I do not have a set teaching methodology, and believe any tutor who does is damaging the chance of success for the student. I have tutored over 40 students for at least 6 months during their year 12 year, this means I have seen many different learning capabilities and have had to apply different teaching strategies.
I have firsthand seen the difficulties students have had adjusting to the new ATAR curriculum. It tests students on their in depth understanding of topics, and my teaching style mirrors this as I wish for students to not only understand, but see how these topics relate to everyday life, and even other topics in the curriculum.
My teaching method is aligned with that of the department of maths of Monash. While lessons and textbooks are a good way to structure learning, I believe that one only learns maths with practice. As such, I put a lot of emphasis on practice, exercises, and interactivity.
I enjoy introducing new concepts of physics based on the chapters with an open-ended question ,and examples to ensure students are aware of the fact that science exists in our day to day life, and is essential to know how they function.
People usually ask me how I studied Physics all my life as its considered one of the toughest subject. Its actually because of a very good teacher in my secondary school who encouraged and instilled the love for Physics in me.
Very passionate about teaching, I would like to teach students who find maths hard to understand or want their grades to be higher. During my lessons, I can help the student break down the concept, try and assist them to understand the topic, also provide them related questions to figure out.
I try to adapt different topics to students' needs. I usually try to perform some experiments whenever possible. Otherwise, I create an imaginary experiment and I try to make the student understand it, focusing on the most important consequences of the concepts being studied. Also, I generally attempt to translate mathematical concepts, making it easier to apply them in physics' exercises.
I choose online teaching. Each class lasts for 2 hours an, it will be nice if the students go through their study material first to figure out their questions or study focus and then send me their questions forehead to me forehead the class, under this way our study will be more trouble shouting.
