During my years in Buenos Aires, I worked as an English teacher at the prestigious Holistic Institute of English, based in Buenos Aires. There, not only I learned how to teach but also how to do it with holistic, creative, learning activities. Moreover, I'm a music and art enthusiast and I usually include these as teaching tools.

I will not say I strictly follow text books. But I do give extreme importance to the basics of any topic. If the building foundation is not strong enough, the whole building will fall down. I really enjoy studying mathematical and scientific subjects that involve problem solving. During my lessons, we will start with some background information behind the concept. Diagrams will then be illustrated on the board, linking them to the relevant formulas in the syllabus.
I am quite flexible with the teaching methods. I would like to understand the student and teach them in an appropriate way. I would normally go topic by topic with questions done regularly. Writing short notes will also be a great way to remember the concepts.

from the usual method, I adapt to many different methods based on my students. If everyone was to learn from the same method, then a classroom teacher would suffice. the usual method would be to break down a subject in several parts, introducing a student to these parts and then connecting these parts together, like a puzzle. though this approach is mostly used for science subjects.
I am a naturally curious person, and direct my enthusiasm for learning into my teaching. The lesson is not just about developing the technical skills, but providing context and understanding of the broader relevance of the subject. It is about learning what is in the textbook, but also learning how to think, problem solve and question things.
My lessons are geared towards students who are struggling in math and/or physics. I will focus mostly on problem solving as this is usually the most difficult since theory must be applied and not simply memorized. The lesson structure will be along the lines of: direct help with school work; guided practice on the specific topic; and optional extra work.
I like to look at what is required and make a rough and easy course outline for the student to follow. As everyone loves ticking to-do lists, learning becomes fun as you go through the entire outline. I like to explain topics, summarize and go through plenty of exercises till the student is confident about the learning.
