Having taught photography before in wide age groups and genres, I obtain a wide knowledge and love for the work. Teaching everything from the basics to the creative. Ranging from hour lessons to few hour lessons, depending on your skills and want to learn.
I take a fun hands on approach to the teaching experience, work at your own pace, learn the ins and outs. i am best known for my Equestrian studio portraiture and canine imagery, emphasis on Digital retouching and image enhancing.
My teaching method is to make the classes fun, hands on and following the KISS (Keeping it simple S...) principle. I strongly believe that the more fun you have the easier it is to learn. Photography is a hands on job so I will ensure the students will get as much hands on as possible experience as possible.
I tailor my classes to the individual. This means that, together, we can meet and supersede your expectations. Whether you're looking for basic instruction on how to best use your first camera or you're wanting a mentor to assist you in taking that next step or to specialise in a particular discipline. Our lessons will be based on practical exercises.
I have covered many aspects of photography in my life.
My lessons are tailored to suit the beginner to the advanced DSLR user. The lessons are for students looking to enter the photography industry as a paid professional or if you just want to gain a better understanding of photography to improve upon your current skills.
- my lessons are geared towards teaching the basics of digital photography - this includes the technical parts of how to use different techniques with digital DSLR cameras - I aim to show students how to take good photos, and how to develop their own vision and style, as well as the digital editing process
Through my study I have found that people learn through a number of different methods. I would start in the classroom to understand my students knowledge base and where they would like to take their study.
I always get a sense of what experience my students have and tailor the course/training according to their skill level and desires. I always start with basic photography skills (aperture, shutter and ISO)and then move on to practical training and exercises to develop the students confidence and ability.
I like to give a solid explanation as to the what we are doing and why, as well as how. It's more important to understand the fundamentals to ensure the same learning can be applied sometimes vastly different scenarios. Then I like to give a practical demonstration of what ever is being taught so the students see what is supposed to happen.
My teaching method is based on sharing the knowledge I have acquired both through learned and practical experience as well as the experience gained by working with different clients. The lessons structure is usually dictated by what the student wants to learn and my first question to anyone is "what do you want to get out of this lesson".
I like to teach people with a hands on approach, I believe you can learn more with a camera in your hands rather than behind a desk, I like to explain it in plain english as I know when I started out it was hard enough to learn without all the fancy words.
Fundamentally, with Wildlife Photography - see the "BEASTIE SHOOT THE BEASTIE" in a heartbeat is what it's all about, so teaching " KISS " KEEP IT SIMPLE GUYS -ie, to know exactly what whistle, button, bell to use in a flash is all !!!!..Come their dream safari in Africa, up close, terrifying , Wild Lion, HEART BEAT- STOP- Click, SUCCESS....
Hello, My name is Bertrand Schmitt and I have been doing photography professionaly for 5 years and before that as a hobby for almost for 30 years. I teach how to use your DSLR and how to understand the basics of your camera first so you don't have to guess anymore what program is best for different situations. Then it is important to understand light.
I'm a very easy going person with a passion for students to also learn the ins and outs of photography. I am looking forward to teaching students who are keen on pushing themselves and constantly learning new skills. Every student learns in their own way so i am happy to adapt to that.
My teaching method is primarily determined by the needs of a given student . Determined either by interest, skill level or the desire to extend themselves and discover new aesthetic approaches. each students determines their need and the manner in which their preference is to be taught.

When I was getting started in photography over 20 years ago I was lucky to have access to many very experienced photographers to guide me and help me develop my own style.
I have always taught photography as calmly and student paced as possible, learning is always easier when people enjoy themselves and feel as though they are improving. Starting with the basics there are no silly questions. Creating is a very human pursuit.
Depending on your experience and knowledge about photography, we will start from the very basics, understanding how the camera works, how to find the proper exposure and focus for your pictures; what kind of lens you need depending on the type of photography you are interested in; I will even teach how your Smartphone can be your most powerful camera and how to get the most out of it.
* I like to find out just what a student brings to the course * Based on this starting point I will introduce them to the rules and priniciples of photography and how to look through the viewfinder of the camera to produce excellent images * Set photographic assignments * Give demonstrations on how to use a SLR camera, then student practice and take photos * Show how to develop film * Show...
I will start with -Theory -Practical approach and then assessing it against different examples. -Initially photographs will be focused upon however then editing softwares will be discussed in detail.
Prefer perhaps one on one but groups of ten max would benefit if they are starting out in the industry. I spent eight years working with cameras and lenses and have shot over 250 weddings bands and pets.
My teaching method ranges from being able to instruct students on both analogue and digital techniques in photography. This ranges from beginners black and white photography, use of analogue cameras , exposure, film development, darkroom printing through to instruction on creating technical and conceptual frameworks in individual art practice.
Depending on each student´s level I show how important is to think and see before taking the picture. Normally I let the students take his or her own pictures and let them make lots of mistakes to correct them afterwards.
I've only worked one on one and would like to continue helping others achieve images they have yet to be able to capture. I can work with you on your system so that you're familiar with it and you don't leave trying to remember how a particular setting was achieved.
Photography is the most democratic of creative tools. I will help the student find their 'eye', develop a belief in themselves and the value of their unique perspective as an artist or journalist. The first conversation I have is about what the student wants to do with photography, where they want to develop their skills and for what purpose.
Plastic artist who understands photography as a brush over the fan that includes all the visual arts. My classes are aimed at all levels and at all ages. I have a lot of experience with all kinds of people, and all social and generational classes are very valuable to me.
I take a practical approach, with an emphasis on professionalism and commercially viable production. I specialise in music videos, lyric videos, and events. In our first lesson we'll establish your interests and career goals, using that to adapt which types of video we study.
Courses are divided between: a theoretical part followed by a practical part (generally outside) in order to apply the techniques discussed. The images made are then visualized on screen and can thus be corrected or simply commented.
