-What makes me a great tutor? Graduated with an ATAR of 99.00 from James Ruse Agricultural High School. Band 6s in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Mathematics extension 1, English Advanced. I have always enjoyed that lightbulb moment others get when I explain some concepts to them.
My teaching method mainly depend on the area of weakness and cover bit by bit for university students and topic of Main interest to high school students
To teach sciences, I think it’s important to make sure that the student knows and understands the basic definitions accurately. Because this is basically all you need to build a reasoning. As a teacher I will try to make the student find themself the reasoning to solve a problem and make sure they come to the solution rigorously, which results in a strong understanding of the subject.
SUBJECTS CAN BE VERY CONFUSING HOWEVER ALL SUBJECTS CAN BE CRACKED WITH THE RIGHT SPIRIT AND BIT OF HARD WORK. I PREFER FOCUSING MORE ON PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE AND THEORY WHICH ENABLES THE STUDENT TO LEARN EVEN THE "BORING" OF SUBJECTS WITH A LITTLE EASE.
Generally, I offer two kinds of lesson structure, depending on what my students prefer. The first is that I run through the lecture content to reteach the subject. This is usually the case for students who have a lot of difficulties trying to understand and follow the lectures.
My teaching methodology includes finding out what aspects or concepts a student does not understand and trying to explain the concept back in layers of complexity until the idea is grasped. I believe in the showing once, observing once and then letting students take control of their own learning.
My teaching methods vary depending on the individual student but the most important thing to support life long learning is the development of good efficient habits and the ability to adapt to new challenges. No one student is more capable than any other and all my lessons are based around that students needs. I hope to teach the student to be confident and successful as an individual.
My teaching method is creation of diagrammatic/geometric concept understanding of the problem and with real life example, how to disassemble lengthy complex calculation steps into blocks and associate them with example to form a geometrical structure. For answering questions, streamline approach that can edit the idea into presentable solutions.
I tend to teach what is needed for the student to know but I also like to give extra information that is outside of the syllabus so as to capture the student's attention and allow them to see how what they are learning is applicable to the real world.
I learned how to explain any subject on the level of the student. I try to transfer the theory into practical things the student can relate to.
I teach concept based classes and focus on a step-by-step explanation of key areas.
I graduated from SCEGGS Darlinghurst last year (2017) with an ATAR of 98.25. I achieved a mark of 96 in mathematics and 45 in Maths Ext 1 (HSC). I’ve had previous experience in tutoring a year 11 student for his final year. So I am able to tutor students from K-12. I love science and more importantly helping other students.
I can teach any students who are having difficulty in math, biology and English by giving them core knowledge of problems and ways for solving them.
I'm an international student major in Engineering. I am good at science subjects. In my Physics class, I teach students based on their school schedule. Due to the fact that each student has different command in the subject, I will change my teaching method according to the students' status.
The lessons are geared towards students struggling with science, willinging to learn and expand their knowledge. The lessons are designed in a manner that students will learn content ahead of their school lessons providing them with a headstart.
Having tutored students of various abilities previously, no lesson is ever the same. As explained they are personallised so that it may involve going over tests, homework, content learnt in class that makes no sense, practical write ups, research tasks, really it comes down to what you as my student need.
Firstly, I'd like to establish a good relationship with my students and understand their learning needs via appropriate methods (e.g. quiz and review of past study). I advocate that learning must be made meaningful to students. So, according to individual situations, I use varied methods (e.g.
I start with the basics and scaffold students learning. Practice is the main key for my students . I provide various activities where students can stay engaged and motivated in the topic.
I don’t have a teaching methodology, i think such child is different, so it’s depends on the situation.
My teaching method is I observe the students first then provide my lecturs according to their needs in the meantime I follow the class lectures and take exam after every lesson.
I like to use audio visual methodology since every student learn in different ways, in case of Maths and science I like to explain with practical scenarios in order to answer the most common questions "Why should I learn this? and what is this for?"
My teaching is usually in a systematic manner which begins by setting a clear lesson goal where I plan and prepare myself on what I want my students to learn during each lesson. Then I start my lessons by telling/sharing information and knowledge while showing them relevant pictures and videos which I believe gives a greater impact.
providing reading lists before classes start using a variety of teaching methods making lecture notes available before lectures clearly identifying key ideas in lectures and assignments drawing on the students’ own experiences being flexible with assessment methods setting clear expectations.
I cater each student according to their individual understanding of the course and if required go through the basics which will help students get a good grasp of the subject. The lesson structure is simple and efficient and aimed to target the specific topics which the student lacks a understanding of.
My teaching method involves overall development of the student. I focus on studies with a logical view of subject, so that the student develops a proper understanding of the subject as it will help the student in longer run. Conceptual knowledge is given more importance than just cramming up the subject.
My teaching method is based on practilaty and visualization of problems with everyday life and simplifications of lessons by breaking into parts. Every details shall be understood by the students. Students can ask me question even after the tuition.
I aim to support individual and class learning through reinforcing, explaining and clarifying difficult concepts. My methodology involves supplying teaching resources, giving concise and accurate verbal lessons and exam-style questions and practice along with real-world practical study tips and advice from a current student.
I’d love to pass my knowledges for maths to those students who kind of struggles with maths and I want them to improve in those parts they’re weak in
My teaching method includes: 1)Flipped learning: a type of learning in encouraging students to prepare for the lesson before class. 2)Self-learning: It involves making little sense to force students to memorize large reams of text that they will either begrudgingly recall or instantly forget.
I always make sure that my classes are creative and entertaining. Everyone can participate to solve all possible doubts.
